If you haven’t had Metro Taco Stop and you live close by then you MUST go. Not only is the food amazing and really good, but the owner and the staff there is by far some of the best people to be around.
I didn’t know about Metro Taco Shop a few months ago, but I am there every day of the week getting a plate that I have had made specifically for me. (Beef fajita, grilled onions and green peppers, 2 eggs, and bacon) I urge anyone to try it especially if your watching your carbs.
Besides that the food is outstanding, made fresh, and always does not disappoint. I will be making a visit every time I am in town from here on out and bringing friends and family with me when I go.
Don’t forget an empanada on your way out too! �
We love this restaurant, the food is consistently good, the service is excellent, the price is reasonable and the place spotless. My favorite are the huaraches with beef, very tasty. Highly recommend it
Fresh, hot,and authentically homemade Mexican food. A treasured find. From scratch food to fresh salsas everything has been delicious. The street tacos are craved.
This place is not what we expected. We were expecting the regular TexMex and were pleasantly surprised to find delicious Mexican food. It is a quaint modern family run restaurant. We have gone back many times and everything has been so good!

Very good!. Breakfast Tacos are good and they are not shy on loading them either. Been here a couple of times and they have been consistently good. Got really busy and backed up but overall it was a good experience.
GIVE IT A TRY. Tried this place for the first time today after moving to the area recently. I had a few pastor tacos and they were excellent. The chips and salsa were also tasty. I will certainly be going back. Service was friendly and quick as well.
Great Experience. The decoration of the place is pretty cool. The food was really good. I have been there several times, I have tried their breakfast tacos, some of their plates (breakfast and lunch), quesadillas, tacos al pastor, lengua tacos, barbacoa tacos and everything is good! Even the enchiladas!
They have improved their tortillas, they are way better than when they just started. Also, the staff was really friendly and the prices were very affordable. I highly recommend this place.

Noticed the sign for this restaurant off of Bandera and made a u-turn to give it a shot. It's a quaint, little place with good natural lighting and seating for about 15 small tables. It's clean and sparse. I'm not sure, but it seems as though they are new to the restaurant business only because they were a bit disorganized and slow. The staff was trying hard and was very helpful. I think this will become smoother over time. The food was pretty good. I tried the Chilaquiles Plate and a Bean and Chorizo Taco - I figured this would give me a good measuring stick. The Chilaquiles Plate comes with refried beans and potatoes. The Chilaquiles were good and spicier than usual which I liked but others might find too hot. The potatoes were cooked well. The beans were too runny for my taste. But my biggest complaint is the tortillas - the flour tortillas seemed like the pre-prepared refrigerated ones that you heat on the flat top which isn't all that bad in itself except that they were undercooked and very chewy. Very chewy. The meal could have been so much better with good tortillas. The bean and chorizo taco suffered from the same issues of runny beans and chewy tortilla so I didn't enjoy it much. The chorizo was average. Overall, I think this restaurant is pretty good and has more potential.
Love this spot, tacos Pastor are always delicious, my go-to here. Service is wonderful and the relaxed setting makes the atmosphere pleasant to stay and enjoy the meal.

We've been coming here for year's now. At one point we couldn't since we moved to another area but when we came back the owners remembered us as regulars.
Now the food...simply amazing! The Carne Guisada is cooked to perfection. The chorizo and egg is probably the best I've had anywhere. Everything is seasoned well and flavorful. I'll continue being a regular.
This an amazing place to eat. Not only is the food great but the service is amazing. Everytime I go in there I feel like I'm part of the family. It always makes my experience great.
I have been looking for REAL Mexican flavors for a while now.. and let me tell you it’s been a painfully disappointing journey until TODAY when my bf and I decided to hit this spot for a quick bfast/brunch. I was honestly BLOWN AWAY by their Chilaquiles Taco (tastes like the real deal in CDMX). Also had machacado a la mexicana taco and egg and potato taco - both perfectly seasoned (something you almost never see in Mexican food spots around here). The habanero sauce is fire 🔥. The owner was super cool with us and the food was served fast & hot. I am seriously surprised this place is not viral yet. Will be coming back very soon, even if it means driving a few hours from home.
I ordered the mini tacos asada and tripa tacos. They were phenomenal and spiced perfectly. The atmosphere is great. I saw they had mexican coke and horchata as well. This place is a true hidden gem and would definitely recommend to those searching for a great mex-mex spot (not tex-mex).
I haven't had machacado tacos in a few years, since my friend back in Houston introduced me to them. I was looking for breakfast to go up by Bandera and Prue and remembered Metro Tacos is there. I had been once before- they are only open for breakfast and lunch, so their timing often doesn't line up with my eating out. But it did this time and I saw the machacado tacos on the menu and ordered a couple.
The flavors were great- the eggs mellowing out the hot pepper, machada, and onions while still giving some kick and the machada gives the whole taco a satisfying body that is missing with many other egg breakfast tacos.
So if you want yummy breakfast or lunch tacos (carne asada and carne guisada are both tasty as well), head on over and give metro taco a try.
Loved this great little place. Food was delicious, the fajitas dish easily fed 2 adults with 2 large servings of tacos!
This place is soooo delicious and authentic! The Enchiladas Verdes are fresh and juicy as well as their Charro beans. Their breakfast tacos are a must!
A cool little spot off Bandera for tacos and empanadas. One thing that sets this pace apart from others is the tacos are not very greasy.
I ordered a potato and egg, barbacoa, and chorizo and egg taco. The latter two tend to be greasy but these were not entirely bad.
I also ordered a caramel empanada which was lightly sweetened and a fine ending to a great breakfast.
