My mom has been bringing me here since I was little and I've never had a bad experience with the food or the staff! The food always comes out hot and delicious in a quick manner and the staff are always friendly and ready to assist you with whatever you need.

Old family tradition! Excellent food, service and price point. Love my "lemon chicken"... and egg drop soup.
This place is the OG of Chinese food in San Antonio. (I’m pretty sure it’s the oldest in San Antonio) Looks like they’ve remodeled some but have chosen to keep the iconic illuminated flags sign art in the ceiling (which is awesome if you’re from here and have been seeing them all your life). If you’ve been coming here for years, the food is basically the same. You can expect very casual prompt service. The cleanliness of the place is so so. The lack of some things this place can’t offer is made up by their prompt service. I started with the egg drop soup and be sure to ask for the crispy noodles on the side because it does not come with the crispy noodles. Just add pepper to the soup to give it a little bit more flavor. I ordered the sesame chicken and yes maybe the chicken is giving chicken nuggets but it’s not bad for what sesame chicken needs. The crunch plus the sauce is what I think makes sesame chicken great and they have it at this place. They always bring everything out in carts and it never takes more than 10 minutes to get your food. You get big portions here so plate sharing is something I would recommend. In all, I would give this place at least 4 stars. It’s not crazy authentic but it’s definitely worth a try.
We go here every year in December and just about every time we go to San Antonio.. The service is great and it is just a short drive from the Zoo.
Delicious. I had the shrimp and vegetables lunch special. It came with fried wonton and fried rice. Food was delicious and service was attentive.

Eating there for more than too many years and the great flavor of the the food never changed but the prices yes.
Food is good for its price. I think the Chicken Chow Mein was very bland, but I liked the egg drop soup, egg roll, and cream cheese rangoons a lot! I think their lunch is better than the dinner.
I've been coming here for more than 50 years, and the wonderful thing about a family owned and run business is consistency. My husband and I came here for lunch. We each had a lunch special, of which there are a lot to choose from. My sweet 'n sour pork was perfect. My husband had their General Chicken, which he said was good, but not as spicy hot as he prefers. The service was fantastic...very attentive without hovering. We promised each other we'll go more often!
Traditionally a great place to eat. Check out the walls and decor over head very historical. (This was six years ago)
Great family owned restaurant! Food is always served hot and fresh and the wait staff is always accommodating. Call ahead for to go or come in and to eat and look at the beautiful pictures made of burrerfly wings. We have been coming here since 1981. My wife and I came here for prom back in the day and have been loyal customers ever since.
Such a great ordering and pick up experience. I literally haven’t tried my food yet (I’ve been here once before though and it was excellent) but I’m leaving a 5 star review because of the person taking my order and helping me at pick up- here’s why:
1. They took their time taking my order AND repeated it back to me to make sure it was correct
2. They were pleasant and efficient when picking up, again repeating my order back
3. It was ready on time and everything I ordered is here and how I ordered it
If you can’t get the little things right, nothing else matters. You guys have the right processes and people and it’s no wonder you’ve been in business nearly 100 years
Thanks!
First time in! Had their orange chicken, side of family rice, and an egg roll. Was pleasantly surprised by the quick service even though they were busy. Definitely recommend popping a head in there right before the lunch rush
One of my grandma’s favorite restaurants. My mom loved the wonton soup. No crispies for the egg drop soup. We both orders deluxe dishes that came with choice of three soups, egg, drop wonton or hot and sour soup. It also comes with your choice of eggroll or crab Rangoon‘s. It comes with lemon chicken and then a different side dish. I chose beef and broccoli which is a little salty and mom had chicken chow mein, which was perfect.
The restaurant also sells live bamboo plants and the bamboo plant food and also different jade jewelry and jade decorations, little sculptures and tea sets.
Service was excellent, and they even offered to carry our purchases to the car .
