We stopped by for a quick bite. The spring rolls are a hybrid between spring, egg, and cha gio.. They were served hot, crisp and fresh. The pork fried rice was loaded with moist roast pork, vegetables, and egg. The rice was not dry nor sticky. The menu is not as expansive as other Vietnamese places and the service was not too attentive. We will try the pho or garlic beef next time.
Spring Rolls & Ice Tea. Always fantastic. Also love the Lemongrass. The service is sometimes very interesting; however, the food is good.
Wow, Look at those Spring Rolls!. I can't vouch for anything here except the spring rolls. And they were excellent, beating out every other spring roll I've had in San Antonio. The place looks pretty beat down and the ambiance is short on charm, that's for sure. But the spring rolls are heavenly!
Always awesome. Love VietNam! The Chicken Lemongrass with VietNam Spring Roll is my favorite...don't forget to soak the plate in nuc nam. The Crab and Asparagus soup is also a favorite.

Great spring rolls. Tea is great and so is the soup supreme. Always have to eat here when I come back in town.
Pho the win!!!. Love this place, best pho in town.
Very tasty garlic pork; I like more heat, but the dish was aromatic and executed well!
Really great food. The chicken curry (red curry) is phenomenal, although it varies from mild to very spicy from visit to visit. I crave this and their crab fried rice pretty regularly.
The spring rolls are wonderful, though probably one of the least healthy things you could ever eat. The pho portions are massive and really good. The pad thai is a miss.
Great chicken fried rice! The vegetable pho is very good if you're feeling sick. The retardant may seem dirty and shady from the outside, but the food is pretty good. It's worth a try!
LOVE this place. I've been going here for over 10 years. The food has always been excellent. The spring rolls and fish sauce are TO DIE FOR. I love their black mushroom chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef vermicelli and of course the chicken lemon grass. YUM!
Actually, I don't think I've tried anything there that I didn't end up liking.
My only complaint would be the very limited and hard to get to parking. If the front lot is full don't even bother trying to squeeze down the alley way. Instead, after you pass Van's and then Viet-Nam take a right on the next street, then you'll see a little alley way with a "parking" sign, take a right in there.
I haven't been here in quite a while, and the restaurant needs some TLC. The restaurant needs to be updated, pretty old, with old smell. The workers, I saw one waiter, and one cook, need some help with waiting on people. The food came out pretty fast and was relatively good, but we could have used some more refills of drinks. We had the springs rolls, which were really fresh and had great flavor. I had the chicken curry, yellow, which was hot, and had plenty of chicken and fresh vegetables, highly recommend. My girlfriend had the meatball and beef Pho. The bowl was filled with delicious meats and noodles, plenty of jalapeños, and bean sprouts. I did enjoy the food, but I wish they would spend some monet on updating the place. Try them and let us know, and as always, my 2 cents.
10/10 on the spring rolls. I’m sure everything else is bomb but for me, it’s the rolls! I dare you to find me a better spring roll in the city. You won’t. You can’t. These are the best!
I’ve been coming here since I was young and it’s always been consistent. I know these rolls are going to be delicious every time!
The fish sauce has to be homemade or they’re jazzing up a pre-made but either way I can drink it by the gallon. It’s so good. I’ve tried a lot of fish sauce and most are either too sweet or just don’t have a kick. This one is tangy and it just bursts with flavor. I love it.
How they manage to make plain lettuce delicious is beyond me but it goes so well with the sauce and rolls. They’re so generous with the lettuce that I think I’ve probably consumed an entire lettuce head in one sitting.
The service is good and friendly although I’ve found it’s just better to order once you get there rather than over the phone.
Food was great just be patient with the staff as it’s just one person serving everyone. The prices have gone up like everywhere. Highly recommend take it to go vs dinning in.
Another place I have past by for years without stopping. Well that ended today. At this time there is a sign at the door asking visitors to wear a mask to enter. You might want to check before you go, or just have a mask ready... It feels like a house inside that at has been separated into several rooms.. My friend and I were blown away. They had the pho and said they loved it and that this may have been the best they had in a long time. I had the basil lunch with beef. Came with white rice and TWO large spring rolls... I'd go just for those rolls! We also shared a cucumber salad, big enough to share and the chicken wings which were also great! We weren't even done with our meal and we were planning our next visit!
Egg rolls are a must! I love the ginger tilapia and the pho never disappoints.
Food was great..ambience decent enough. Food portion was a bit smallish. Service, the owner was the only waiter. Great guy who seems overworked. ambience is a bit drabby. Family liked this place. Owner has an interesting war story. Please support.
This is by far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in San Antonio. I have been coming here often for the past two years & I always grab a plate of beef vermicelli & some spring rolls. The food is always DELICIOUS. I vary from take out to dining in and either way my food is always fresh, hot & consistently tasty. Don’t be fooled by appearances - I know I almost misjudged this place as it is quite dated and has the smallest parking lot out front but it is most definitely worth it. This became my go-to location for business lunch meetings (pre-covid) & everyone has always raved about how delicious their pho & other menu items are. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The first and still the best Pho I've had after many years. Small, family-owned, and down-to-earth. Fast, polite service and impeccable food quality at a reasonable price.
OMG. This is the Vietnamese food spot here in SA. The crispy spring rolls is hard to beat.
They got their own distinct flavor and twist on the their pho.
Very good. Could be cleaned and their a funky smell in the air, not that Vietnamese food smell, just a bit funky. Dont know what it is.
Here's another place Not to forget. 2 orders of fried spring rolls an a box of chicken fried rice, price $32. Very clean when you walk in, staff is very friendly, an food is fresh. Love it here come try it!!
