Great customer service from the moment you are greeted until you cash out. The food is delicious and filling. Every entree comes with a choice of steamed or fried rice, spring rolls, egg roll or crab Rangoon. The ambiance is relaxing and quiet enough to carry a conversation. Great people work here!
Enjoyed dinner at House of Joy yesterday evening. I had the combination plate of chicken/vegetables and lemon chicken. It was very good. The waiter was very professional and attentive. My daughter enjoyed her combo as well.
My first impression of the House of Joy was very good. The restuarant is very clean, well decorated and convenient. The prices are reasonable for food and amount they offer. The lunch specials were great with good prices. From sesame chicken to beef lo meun they got it all. You should come by with friends and family and you won't be disappointed. Good place for lunch and dinner. Highly Recommended!!! 👍
Updated: after 4 years and going the quality of the food is the same. Delicious like always. Had to try the combo lo mein with shrimp and broccoli sauteed. 😋

I was greeted when I first came in the door. Ordered to go. The egg roll was a little hard but the Lemon Chicken was excellent.
We are very particular on the Chinese or oriental restaurants that we visit. Most are very poor including PF Changs. This restaurant was very impressive to us. The service was excellent, the décor was very comfortable and food was served hot and quickly to us. We usually use Mencius and Formosa Gardens as are test to compare since we really enjoy eating there. But this restaurant will be added to our frequently visited stop. One slight issue was the sesame Chicken, it did not have any sesames on it and seem more like orange chicken, not sure of our order was misread. Otherwise excellent place to dine in the Leon Valley area.
Best egg drop soup I have had in a long time. Actually, I had a lot of eggs in mine. The beef and broccoli, rice, and egg roll came out hot and delicious. The potion for lunch was huge. I couldn't finish it and the price was very reasonable.
Extremely clean, from the white table linens, and the walls to the floor everything was clean. It's a calm soothing place to dine in. Service was really great and prices were very affordable. Food was really good, I really enjoyed the wonton soup.
our server was amazing! always making sure we were taken care of. the serving size was big enough for 2-3 meals! and the food was super good! will definitely be returning!
The location is a bit hidden from the bandera rd, but there is a fine establishment in the shopping center serving some awesome chinese food! The food is delicious!! Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. The steamed dumplings were fresh and full of flavor. The shrimp fried rice had large shrimp and was a large serving. The egg rolls and spring rolls were tasty as well. The egg drop soup was spot on! This will be my new favorite place for traditional chinese food!! I dont have pictures because I ate it all so fast.
