Timbo's has always been a great place for a good burger. It channeled enough of the old famous Little Hipps where Tim got his start, but was unique enough not to be considered a Little Hipps knock off. Without a doubt the tater tots are amazing. Somehow they were super crunchy without being super greasy. Timbo's in recent years has been nice that it was an oasis of affordable food near the Pearl. You could go, get a bite to eat, and not feel like you needed to raid the kid's college fund in order to pay for it.
Went here for a Spurs game and ordered the bacon cheese burger. It had so much bacon! I was able to munch on some bacon, and still had plenty for my burger. The burger was big too, and the tots were great. There was only one server/bartender, but he always made sure my tea was filled. There was no wait for a table and the food came out quick, which is a great for the Pearl.
Great food, well priced, and at a great location in the Pearl District. We loved the Shypoke Eggs, essentially great nachos. Also I loved my Mini Yellow Submarine burger (stuffed cheeseburger with jalapeños). The patty was super flavorful and all the toppings were really fresh and delicious. It was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had.
The mini yellow submarine....one of the best burgers I have had. Onions, cheese and jalapeños stuffed inside the patty. Fresh ingredients, soft, perfectly toasted bun. This place is awesome! Great service too!
The waiter Andre is friendly and very upbeat, Frank the cook knows how a burger should be made and never dissapoints, best bacon cheeseburgers ever ,and Timbo always has a great story to tell ,and Cecilia makes you feel like family, highly recommend! !
In the new better burger era and nestled against SAT 's Nuevo hipster cuisine @ the pearl is a timeless operation that relies only on simple ingredients and strangely to some, customer service. Burgers here are for the 99% without any preconditions or judgement, unless you judge on taste. Blue ribbon, gold medal, second to none are all superlatives that easily handle the food here. Maybe where you live there is a great down home burger place...this is San Antonio's version. When great burgers and great people collide you will find Nirvana...if you are lucky you will find Timbos.
Low-key bar and grill with no frills atmosphere. Great good and drinks with reasonable prices. Fun place to hang out for a quick bite and for some cheap drinks. Would definitely recommend!
Great burger. Ask for the tots extra crispy - they don't taste burnt at all.
Go as soon as possible.

Omg......alway's wanted to try this place and it was the BEST. I haven't had a burger this good since I don't know when. Great staff Cold 🍺. I recommend this place to everyone!
Best burger I've ever had (bacon cheesburger, you've got to have bacon right?) And a very friendly, and good humored staff.
