Love the bagels from the Bagel Factory! Excellent assortment of bagel and cream cheese flavors. Looking forward to return in and trying new flavors.
The poppy seed bagel is over the top.
Bagel Factory. The Bagel factory is a festive little cafe that has some wonderful bagels. I love breakfast, and bagels are one of my favorites. Once again, a local suggested we dine here. My partner, a friend, and I had a very good breakfast experience here. We loved it.
First off, the cafe was squeaky clean and smelled fantastic. It was a little noisy, but it was a good noisy busy diner type atmosphere going on. The counter staff were friendly and quick.
We all three ordered the Apprentice bagel with cheese grits and coffee. Everything was perfect. I know I enjoyed the quick and light breakfast here, and certainly wish to return to experience their lunch menu on my next visit to San Antonio.
Yum!. I came in here with lunch with a coworker today. Everything was SPOTLESS and clean! The staff were friendly and the food is so fresh! I walked in for lunch and came out with a half dozen bagels! awesome! will be back!
THE BEST bagels in Texas! Being from New York, I have been on the hunt for a good bagel. I have found my heaven!!
Yummy!! It's nice to get a REAL bagel in San Antonio finally!
Need one in the medical area.. Spoke to the owner. Told her she needs to open up a store in the medical area. Its too far of a drive to get fresh bagels. I bake my own bagels (when I have the time) & I must say that these are some of the best bagels I have tasted.
The only real bagels in S.A.. Before the Bagel Factory, every bagel place in San Antonio I visited had only "bagels" that were not boiled before baking. Someone once call those "just round bread with a hole in the middle".
I called Suzanne, the owner, before visiting, and asked about her method. She steams them before baking, which is the same as boiling, but does not require such intensive supervision (it's easy to ruin a batch when boiling absentmindedly).
Their Everything bagels are are good as those in a couple of shops/delis in Houston.
We have finally found a bagel home.
It was everything I wanted before heading to an all-day vball tournament! I suggest "The Carpenter" and caffee mocha! We ended up winning the tournament if that let's you know how good it was!
Simply the BEST.... Hands-down the best Bagel in town! Add to this great coffee, great service, and free Wi-Fi -- this place is a welcome addition to North-Central SA! Easy access on/off 281 for those picking up that baker's dozen for the office! The Ranchero on the Jalepeno bagel is one-of-a-kind and a must try for those wanting to 'spice' up their morning.
This has been our go to Bagel place evernsince we found it several years ago. Truly New York style bagels with small town friendly service. Sadly, they are closing their store front and will only be supplying bagels and shmears daily to local grocery stores.
Thank you, Bagel Factory, for the the flavors, carbs, and wonderful memories! We'll catch you at the HEB!
Fresh bagels made on location! Good selection of bagels and cream cheeses, lox of course. Nice NY decor, OUTDOOR SHADED SEATING, clean bathroom, and no minimum on credit card use.
$0.99 for a bagel, or $2.25 for bagel w/ cream cheese, $1.75 w/ butter. Just buy a dozen and a pound of cream cheese.
Odd note: some of the bagels are kosher, certified by a local rabbi, but I imagine it would not be kosher to have anything prepared here other than the bagel itself. So, not sure how helpful the certification is...
I couldn't give a 5-star because the bagels looked and tasted a little flat today, and the air conditioning was out. Not sure if that's a coincidence or not, but this is a shopping center, so the landlord needs to remedy that AC problem yesterday. This business might start withholding rent or something because summer in South Texas...in a bakery...
The outdoor seating is really cool and spacious, so the lack of AC is not a deal breaker, but the employees are probably hating life right now.
ARMY+Bagel+Suzanne= One hell of a Bagel!! Stop in a read the stories on the wall. Talk with the owner as she rings you up. The epitome of small business owner/operator. A great story of success that you can taste in her bagels, her coffee and her GRITS*****yes, I said GRITS! The kind with the cheese and makes you think of home! Yeah-GRITS. Stop in and get the Coffee = you can get your own mug! Need I say more? Enjoy the experience, well worth the 5 minutes!
The bagels are the best available in San Antonio. They are baked not boiled but the skin texture is still excellent as a NY bagel should be. Good variety of cream cheeses and excellent assortment of bagel varieties. Employees are friendly, price is reasonable and it's nice place to sit and relax with friends.
Amazing selection of fresh bagels. An even better selection of in-house made cream cheeses. Their espresso machine was broken on my visit but it happens. So good. I haven't had a good bagel in three years. Now I have a new favorite breakfast spot!! And their bagels are all kosher, except the cheese ones.
My girlfriend and I went to NYC for a trip and had bagels while we were there(of course) I was craving a new York bagel for a while then we found this place. Amazing food. Creative food. Great service. Great employees. Just overall great. Also. I had the fisherman today and it was delicious.
Moved to San Antonio about a year ago and being in sales, do lots of client breakfasts. A colleague recommended the Bagel Factory and told me about their excellent bagelaches. (Go get one to find out). I've been stopping in once or twice a week to grab bagels, bagelaches and a great selection of cream cheese blends. Suzanne, the owner is super friendly and helpful and they have a loyalty program that's super easy. My wife and I have gone for breakfast on Saturday mornings and enjoy the unique selection the Bagel Factory has to offer. Highly recommend.
My job lets me travel extensively. With this I have tried bagels in New York , Chicago, and other cities across the nation. Of course Chicago New York claim to be the best bagel places in the country. And honestly the best bagel I've ever had was outside of Chicago in Skokie. Skokie is still part of the city, and that was the best damn bagel I've ever had. That being said the bagel factory in San Antonio does not fall far behind. I have tried bagels at their competitors but they're just blah & fluffy. If you ever want to try the real thing stop by the bagel factory they're very good.
I love this place. The bagels are amazing and the staff is very friendly. My only disappointment is the fact they stopped offering breakfast sandwiches. I understand the business reasons behind the decision, but I do miss their breakfast sandwiches. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for great beagles and other pastries made with bagel dough.
Place was great friendly and fast service especially helps when I have a big office order and call ahead then I just wait in line pay pick up and go they also have a great system 4 dozens or half dozens bagels-you just walk in grab a bag below the bagel bins select your bagels walk up to the front and pay that way you get to choose your own bagel s and if you want a sandwich for yourself just woke up tell them what kind of sandwich on what kind of bagel and as you were saying it there making it. With 26 bagels-to choose from 6 kinds of muffins and four different kinds of Bagalochies you will definitely walk out a happy customer just remember they close at 12 so get there with the morning Rush and you'll be a happy customer
