Great tasting food and service!
I visited Chaba Thai a while back and was not impressed but decided to give it another try. To my surprise, there has been a change in ownership and everything is really good now!
The service is a way faster and the food tastes great! I visited twice now and can say, from appetizers to entrees, everything has been delicious!
I had the Thai fried rice, Pad Thai, fresh spring rolls with shrimp and the chicken satay thus far, and I will definitely be back for more delicious food.
My only suggestion would be to step back on the seasoning just a tad, not on the spice, but the seasoning. Just a personal preference I am sure.
Kudos to the new owners and their staff for turning Chaba Thai into what I am certain will be a great success!
Best Thai food I've tried in San Antonio. I was reluctant in trying this place because of the reviews, but I learned the restaurant has new ownership. I'm glad I decided to give it a try because the food was amazing. The service was great. The waitress was very friendly and we barely had to wait for the food. We tried the beef fried rice, dumplings and Tom Yum chicken soup. The soup could have used more seasoning but that's nothing that can't be requested on the next time around. Can't wait to go back!
My fave is Shrimp Fried Rice. The taste is out of the world. Been craving for fried rice with strong wok hay flavor and they nailed it. We went back for lunch and everything we ordered were so delicious.
Was in the mood for some Thai food and decided to go here ✨ Best decision I made. the food was amazing and the waiters were very nice 👍 Will be going back for sure 💥 Really want to try the pineapple rice next time!
Loved the meal, to go was great and fast. Talked to 2 customers coming out and they loved the food.
Sweet and sour sauce has a nice subtle kick.

Had the Spring roll appetizer, Hot green tea, and yakisobo. Perfectly flavored and made me ask the server what changed. She smiled and stated they changed ownership.
I'm new to area and have ordered 3 times now and all of their food is fresh and tasty! I got summer rolls (peanut sauce is best I've ever had!), chicken fried rice, cucumber salad and Thai tea. Yummy!
Absolutely delicious! Went for a work lunch there and the food was so tasty! Since I don’t eat much and I didn’t want leftovers I went for a chicken egg roll and the Thai wings off the starter menu. The egg roll was crispy and fresh out of the fryer. It had well balanced flavor and the sauce that it came with complimented it well!
The wings came out HOT!! (Temperature) and they were nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It also came with a sauce perfect for the wings!
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the server was very polite.
I had never been to this place before today but there is a sign that says new management on the outside. So if you came before and weren’t impressed, perhaps it’s time to give it another chance. Definitely will come back!
I use to come here pre pandemic but unfortunately during the pandemic, like most restaurants, the food quality took a hit. I decided to give it a try today (June 2023) and the food was delicious and fresh. It’s nice having a good Thai place on this side of town. Give them a try! The boba and Thai tea were great as well. We will be back :)
The food was good and the Service as well! There's nice Decor inside and definitely good for a date night. Even though we were there about 45 minutes before closing they were very happy to seat us and took care of us. It does not get a five for me only because the menu can have a little more options.
