Nice little slice of Southtown in NE San Antonio. BYOB and enjoy the food truck tacos, particularly the al pastor - and don't forget the corn in a cup.

A welcome departure from our white bread suburban eateries on this side of town.

If you want great authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend stopping by here.  This place originally started as a little evening taco stand on the side of the road, where everything was made in the trailer shown in the pictures.  After being here a while, they were so popular that they got the restaurant next door and started serving food there as well during the day.  Originally, the restaurant was just "OK", earning them a rating of about 3 from me.  However, every time I have been back, the food has gotten exponentially better, upping that rating to a 4.5 currently.  Their enchiladas are absolutely amazing, and they make some of the best mole I have ever had.  Also, if you want some very late night food, I recommend coming by the trailer and getting a torta or some tacos, which is what made them popular to begin with.

Awesome!. I love Erick's. Its all about the little details, the chips are super fresh, light and crispy. The red salsa is very 'gardeny' with a little kick. The verde is much hotter, equally delicious. Tortillias are the thin fluffy kind, made with a little lard and a lotta love. Ive had most everything on the menu, and while I have my favorites, everything is great. Stand-outs are the bistec/chorizo tacos and the fajitas. Cabrito and Lamb on weekends.
I believe the taco trailer & fruitera started first, and the indoor restaraunt came sometime after.  It's listed as one location but the menu and hours are different.  Trailer side is byob & open way late, indoor side opens early for breakfast, both closed on Mondays.

Enchilada Guajillos. The red sauce on the top of the enchiladas was very tasty, it just teased your palate with sweet, spicy and sour, very delicately put together. The white Mexican cheese was very tasty and the grilled veggies on top of the enchiladas made me feel like I was eating a healthy, good for me plate of beans, rice and enchiladas. I also had a Tamarindo Icee, it was fruity and tart at the same time, loved it. My husband had the Carne Asada tacos with Frijoles Borrachos. I noticed they had a bit of chorizo in the beans to give it a good savory and sweet smoky taste to them. The inside was very clean and the waitresses dress all in black, very classy. The tables and chairs were beautiful dark polished wood. The floor is a highly polished light wood floor. You can see the chefs cooking your food as well. Very nice and polite service. Food is really good. I also found out that they serve Cabrito Barbacoa on Sunday Mornings.

It is even better than brownsville and matamoros tacos from ultimo tacos.

It's usually good, but lately it seems they started a new policy of not actually taking orders that are called in to be picked up. I don't know if they started this because people aren't picking them up or what. It's happened the last three times we've called in orders, they claim never to have received the order or that it's not ready yet (I don't think it takes an hour for 3 tacos, even on a busy weekend night)...I'll stay away for a while and give them another chance.

Everything is amazing. Seriously. Everything. The chicken fajita, chilequiles, and anything with mole sauce are particularly awesome.

Love this place. Great tacos and shaved ice. Downfall is the corn in a cup is not homemade and call ahead for hours. They are not listed correctly on Urban spoon.

Good breakfast place with real breakfast tacos. This place had all my favorites. Tacos de tripa (beef tripe), tacos de lengua (beef tongue), and all your standards too. Fresh homemade corn or flour tortillas, great service, and very reasonably priced. Northeast has it down with some of the best Mexican breakfast in San Antonio. I wish North Central would follow but they all seem very americanized. I shall be back.

Absolutely Delicious!!!. The restaurant is a cozy little place on a busy street! I tried the Tripas plate and the Mini Buche tacos, and they were absolutely FANTASTIC. Now I understand that organ meat may not be everyone's forte, but if you do enjoy it or a first-timer, I would absolutely suggest this place! Tripas are available in most Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, but Buche is not. And from my experience, the Buche offered in other places/vendors, is not good. Buche can easily become inedible if not cooked right. Come and taste the love this place has to offer! I will be going back to try the Cabrito tacos and Tortas!

There's nothing like a good taco truck after the bar. The food was hot, fresh, and good. I highly recommend it.

This is a very good place to eat. Not expensive and will satisfy you completely. We had the trompo, al pastor and chicken fajitas tacos along with charro beans. Everything was amazing. The trompo tacos were my favorite. They are on another level. Must try this place

Went to check this place out, luckily there were no lines when we got there. Quick and friendly service -- got the mini tacos with al pastor. They were really flavorful. The green salsa they give you is spicy so beware but I enjoy spicy food!

My fav taco truck in SA. Open way late (4am) and people watching 2-4 is such a blast. Food is always fresh. If you come late be prepared to stand in line. Parking sucks but the police will direct to a legal parking spot. Whatever you do ORDER the beans. Yes!! The $2 beans in a cup. Best beans you ever had. Beans are worth the visit alone.

They have really good street tacos and there a fruteria also. So they have everything and opened really late. We were there at 3am on a Wednesday (technically Thursday morning). Driver s place to hit up if your in the neighborhood or really late night.

I was a bit skeptical about coming here. I like finding small little places to eat. Since it was close by we stopped in to see how it was. It's a small little building. Kind of hot they have a fan. You walk in and have a seat and they will come to you...or that's what they had us do. It only had about 7 or 8 tables. The lady was kind of hard to understand. It's not a bad thing as spanish isnt a problem. Just soft spoken. Anyways. We ordered our food and it was about avarage waiting time. I had pretty low expectations upon arriving. But was quickly proven wrong. The food is great. It was so tasty and the cheese was warm and stretchy. A few times after biting my Gringa Al Pastor the cheese would stretch from mouth to plate and that is the best feeling in the world. Anyways I highly recommend the place stop in and give it a try. Edit: Could you start making spiro papas if you dont have it already.

Amazing food. Restaurant itself is a small building like a house. Prices was less than 10$ a person. 7 of us, less than $70! Daughter ordered a bean and cheese taco. For $1.75 you'd think it would be small. Nope. Took picture of my son's ham and eggs taco. He ordered too much, but we didn't know one would be sufficient. One picture is of the mini tacos. Another had that amazing pork &bean charro. The rice was great too. Just amazing flavors. Thank you for the amazing food!
