Easter dinner with my family was great! Not too crowded and the food was good and plentiful. I highly recommend the Mongolian stir fry it was heaven! Every time we go the food and service is excellent and all three of my children have no problem finding foods they like. Can't wait to go back!

I like this place I think some of these reviews are picky as hell. Melted butter and low sodium soy? Go to a restaurant and not a buffet if you want to be fancy like that. Good sushi and I like the chocolate fountain. Their Mongolian pit is good too!
I came here a few years ago and I really saw big improvements. The Mongolian food was fabulous, fantastic salad and sea food choices. Sushi wasn't absolute top of the tops although it was fine. The meat cuts, vegetable assortment and fruit were tremendous. Now with the chocolate fountain as a final touch made it a wonderful time together with friends

This is actually the only Chinese buffet I will go to that I trust in SA. First the bad. Most of the menu items are rather well bland. The salad bar needs work, as in they need to dry their produce. No one wants wet lettuce on their salad. The Mongolian grill's sauces need help as well. The ingredients are fine, but the spices and sauces for it are lacking what it needs to make something good. Bottled garlic is horrible and I would rather have them used granulated garlic instead. I have mentioned these issues whenever I go upfront to pay, but of course they haven't done diddly about it yet.
Now for the good stuff; They actually have pretty good hot and sour soup. Its always hot and it actually has fresh mushrooms and tofu. The pan fried dumplings are tasty. The sushi is just well meh. Nothing to brag about, but they do have sea weed salad when paired that with some fresh cucumber, crab, and mackerel; that makes it something worth getting if you like seafood. Now that being said, the real reason I come here are those times I have a real craving for crab legs. They have them on weekend evenings and they are actually pretty fresh (well fresh enough for inland Texas). I have never understood the need to drown crab meat in butter, but you are in a chinese joint so what I do recommend is that you ask your server for some vinegar, add a little sriracha or hot oil. Then add some ginger from the sushi bar and dip your crab in that instead. Oh one more thing, the crawfish here is usually ok, but if you encounter the mushy kind when you peel em, then just stop. Just don't do that to yourself.
Best Chinese buffet in town! I have gone to several different ones since moving here 2 years ago and they were all a disappointment until this place opened. It's always fresh. My kids love that they have a chocolate fountain. They have a military discount. They make you sushi. I like my crab rangoons larger but no complaints other than that.
Pleasantly Surprised. I visited during lunchtime, and I had an enjoyable meal. The sushi section was fresh and well-made, and included a good a variety of condiments and sauces. I was surprised to see nigiri sushi (perfect bite-size portions), as well as large variety of sushi rolls (such as those containing eel and fried rolls). They offered a good assortment of hot dishes - including my favorite, extra crisp & fresh green beans. I was happy to see that King Buffet kept freshly prepared food on the buffet line (rather than stale food sitting out for too long - as can be the case at some other buffets). The establishment itself was well-kept and clean, and the service was very good.

LIKE IT. You cannot be too picky when you eat buffet in other words you cannot expect too much. I also notice almost every Chinese buffet restaurant is good at the beginning and the quality go downhill afterward so I choose to visit King Buffet right after they open. The select are tremendous. They are fresh and they constantly replenish their food. The tastes are good. They are not too salty which is a good thing. Most of the Chinese Buffet oversalt their food so they force you to drink more and eat less. I hate to see people waste food when they eat buffet. Yes, it is all you can eat but that does not mean you should pile up the food and left uneaten. Do not put it on your plate if you do not intend to eat them unless it is so bad that it is uneatable. The restaurants need to be able to stay in business and they need to maintain the quality and keep the price low.

Wide selection of food, deserts, and some sushi rolls. If you are coming here specifically for sushi rolls, don't. The sushi selection is not good, also mostly veggies wrapped in seaweed and old sushi rice.
The other food selection was good. The salad was amazing. The atmosphere feels sticky and musty, so much, it was rather hard to breath in fresh air. We were here for lunch, so not sure how good are dinner buffet. If you craving a buffet, this is an okay spot.
We celebrated my daughter's graduation celebration there, in their big party room and the service was excellent. The food was absolutely great. It didn't have an old refrigerator taste, and the fruit was sweet and fresh.They catered to my family, in a very professional manner. We will definitely be going back there...

Friday evening $21/person including beverage. Great place to have some Asian flavor.
Visited Saturday around 7. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The food was tasty. The small white clams were on the cooler side; but everything else was hot. Lots of choices, good grill. Over all a good experience. I will be returning. This is better than Lin's International Buffet on the northwest side.
Oh, the crab legs....haha there were people camping, waiting for it to come out.
04NOV22 Update: 5 stars. Visited again after picking my son up from school...about 4:30. All the crab legs were mine!! HAHAHA...it was the best time to visit. Everything was hot too. Everything was very tasty. The guy running the grill - super fast. Faster than other "Mongolian" grills at other Chinese buffets. My son didn't like it as much...he said they didn't have chocolate chip cookies or oreos - he only like Chinese buffets for the dessert, so take it for what it is...hahaha
King Buffet is a really good Chinese food buffet. Their is alot of good variety of food. I like that they even have potatoes wedges and fried chicken if you prefer to eat casually instead of Asian cuisine. The cleanliness could be improved on the bathrooms, some of the soap dispensers and air dryers did not work.
5 STARS!!! The salt and pepper shrimp, the black pepper chicken, and ALL of the seafood. It’s all very fresh, I’ve never been to a Chinese buffet like this, it breaks all stigma’s. Will come back next time I visit San Antonio
Wow!!!! Tuesday lunch and what a magnificent selection!!!!! I certainly should have brought more appetite!!! I was able to find all of my favorites. It is price competitive. Very clean. The staff are very attentive.
Will definitely be back.

Wife and I went for dinner and were amazed at the large size of this buffet. We usually do not DO buffets, but when she wants some sushi, it is the economical choice. She did state the sushi is not the best, but it is hand made there. They have almost every menu item for anybody. I had the thai chicken which I thought was very good, orange chicken was not good at all. The Mongolian grill was a nice added touch. For $26 you can not complain about the value you receive. Heck, you would spend that at a fast food joint! Only thing we also notice is that the food is very salty as we could not consume enough water once we returned home. We MAY be back. Great food, big selection, sticky worn tables. I have visited this location since they open and I no longer think of the food I think of the worn tables and often sticky tables due to being cleaned so often.
I wish the owner would upkeep the establishment a little more so it would be an all around good experience. Tablecloths, idk, seems like they could a little better with the atmosphere. Has the potential to be a really nice place
