One of my favorite little Mexican restaurants, very good chips and salsa, the Jamaica is not too sweet, very very good and food is always fresh. Today I had the tortilla soup and they are the first place that actually put the tortilla on the side instead of in the soup to get soggy. Love love love this place. But to mention had plenty of veggies in the soup. Just perfect
Very friendly and attentive service. Food was amazing. I got the the #10 which came with awesome cheese enchiladas and the most tender, flavorful beef tips in gravy. Soooo good! Hubby got the #6, enchiladas with crunchy taco. We loved the red and green salsas! Will definitely be back! Great service and great food!
When I worked next door this was my spot in the AM happen to be near and decided to eat there. Hasn’t change love the homemade tortillas I wil think they are and great service. When I’m near again I’ll visit again.
My second time eating here. Once for breakfast, now for dinner. Had Steak & Enchiladas. Pretty good. Steak was tender, Enchiladas were packed with cheese. Fries were unexpected bonus. Tortillas good. Nice portion size. Service friendly.
The best menudo anywhere ever. The tripas were so soft, must of been slow cooked for hours. Choice of with or without Pigs feet! Both corn & flour tortillas are excellent. Also terrific service by teamwork. All wait staff eager to help you! I will be back!!
I’m not gonna lie, this place is a little bit sketch. The bathrooms aren’t great, and the seats are hit or miss, with some of them being pretty torn and tattered. However, there aren’t a ton of authentic Mexican food options, near downtown, especially those that are open after 3 PM. I do really like their salsa and their fajita quesadilla or green enchiladas are solid. The waitresses are extremely friendly and I think it’s owned by a family. It looks like their son helps out sometimes. I like that and I like supporting local, so I’ll definitely keep coming here.
We ate at this restaurant after our visit to the missions. It is certainly a good surprise. The waitress is very friendly. The food is fantastic. I ordered #19 steak a la mexicana. Beef is tender and juicy. Their beans and tortillas are the best I ever had. I like this restaurant even more than Mi Tierra Cafe & Bakery, which is a super popular place.
Man I've been coming here my entire life with my family haha
The restaurant and its management have never given us any problems - I love it here, very friendly :)
The food had great flavor. I had crispy beef tacos 🌮 and hubby had cheese enchiladas. We both liked the flavor of the rice and beans. Hubby was very disappointed with the hot sauce, saying that both the red tasted like ketchup and the green one tasted like avocado sauce.
So good. Delicious, authentic Mexican dishes served up hot and fresh. Generous portions and reasonable prices. No wonder the parking lot is always full of cars.
Not gonna lie…The building and furnishings are a little “tired” looking, but don’t be put off by first impressions…Everything is clean.
Besides- once I took my first bite I couldn’t have cared less about the state of the decor! Will definitely be back for more.
