This is the first bakery we've visited, so I was really excited to give it a go. We bought two blueberry muffins and a loaf of their Birdman. The muffins were yummy and the Birdman is great for sandwiches, though I think next time I might opt for a regular honey wheat. We were after a French sourdough as well but we went in on Friday and they were sold out. Unfortunately, we can't make it Wednesday when they bake it so i'm not sure we'll get the chance to try it. Overall, I think we'll be back :)
Come early or miss out. We visited later in the afternoon, and many of the selections were sold out. They did not have any scones or sweet rolls. We opted for their pecan pie bar, pain au chocolate, and a brownie. All three were delicious. The pain au chocolate was airy and had many layers . It had the right amount of chocolate Nd the exterior had a nice crunch. My wife's brownie was moist and not dense like some brownies can be. Finally the pecan pie bar was rich and decadent with a thick layer of pecan pie filling and was covered with toasted pecan bits. Even in the afternoon they had a good amount of foot traffic. The interior could use a few more tables for inside noshing.
Quality at it's best. Broadway Daily bread has the best cookies in San Antonio! Actually everything they make is awesome and will not dissapoint you. Samples are generous on their cutting board. Recently I tried a walnut sour cream muffin that was off the charts. The attention to detail at this bakery is unheard of and the owner Chris is such a wonderful person. The coffee is as good as the baked goods which will make you happy over and over. I buy large amounts of their cookies to deliver to loyal customers each Christmas and everyone can't believe how great they are. My favorite is the double chocolate but the peanut butter come in a close 2nd. You will not be dissapointed with Broadway Daily Bread!
Pecan bars are one of my all time favorite desserts. Everything here is so good!
They get it right. This is an example of a store that has trained its staff. At least the many times I've been there, I've been treated as a welcomed customer, with my questions answered patiently and with information offered freely. Their products are uniformly delicious as well. Kudos!
The French sourdough loaf was amazing! We may never buy packaged store bought bread again. The sweet treats were delicious too! We'll be back ;)
Perfect. I love everything about BDB. The staff is the nicest in town and everything on the menu is just perfect.
Wonderful!. I almost wrecked when I went past their former location and saw BDB was gone! Thankfully I've found their new location. The breads are wonderful. The chocolate cupcakes are magnificent. And the new location is much more easily accessed than the old one.
Wonderful Bread - Let it Cool!. This is a great place for fresh bread. The Birdman is fantastic. Just remember to let it cool before you seal it up - that moisture has to go somewhere!

A real bakery.... This bakery always has friendly people behind the counter. They make a variety of baked goods including some sugarless (sweetned with grape water I believe) muffins & breads. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in San Antonio. They have a board to sample items before you buy. I often go out of my way to stop here.
Everything I've tried here has been delicious. No complaints. The cashier was helpful and friendly. Each item got its own little bag and then everything was put into a bigger bag together. Like the other location, there isn't much room for sitting to eat, so we got our pastries to go.
Best muffins in San Antonio!! Today I tried the roast beef sandwich on old fashioned white bread! It was delicious! We just moved to the area and Broadway Daily Bread Co. became our favorite place in just one visit! I definitely recommend everything here!
A friend told me about Broadway Bakery, so I tried it. Everything is absolutely deliciously fresh and has continued to be on every visit. We LOVE the cranberry muffins and jalapeño bread. We now make weekly trips to get our bread. Their bread is how bread should taste: rich, full of texture, and delightful to taste… not like that commercial bread you get at grocery stores. Try it, you’ll be glad you did!
Great bread and cinnamon rolls. Bread is ready by 10am. Need to get there early for cinnamon rolls. Cookies and cupcakes are great as well.
Love the place, they're fantastic! Absolutely to die for, easy to miss coming up De Zavala from I10 because there's trees and a fence blocking the view until you've nearly passed it, but definitely worth a stop for anything baked. The jalapeno cheese sourdough is out of this world.
This is a wonderful place with amazing bread their hours are 7 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. If I only had one suggestion it would be that the bread was out in the morning when they open not at 10 or 1030 mid morning. Most people have already gone to work and I’ve missed the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful bread
This is a wonderful bakery! They have a great selection and you can watch the bakers at work making the days items and orders. They have a small but good coffee selection and a nice seating area for meeting friends for a chat!
Great place! I stopped in for the first time today. The staff was super friendly. The place smelled amazing. I had the BDB club on sourdough and it was the best sandwich ever. The sweets all looked fantastic; I tried the red velvet cupcake and I was very impressed. I highly recommend!

I love this place. I try to come here once a month if I am able to. I have bought items here since 2008. The bread is firm on the outside and soft on inside. The pastries are to die for. I just bought myself coffee and a couple of muffins and thought hmm. How about lunch? It’s 10:30 am. I am always thinking of my next meal. So I ordered the Veggie Sandwich. I am sitting here enjoying my coffee and Lemon Ricotta Cookie. I feel as if I am abroad again. The only thing missing is the sound of the seabirds. But the place is nice to sit and relax. The food is so delicious and fresh. I am so happy to see how busy it is again. And their coffee is better than Starbuck’s.
