Drive up is always fast & friendly but I haven't eaten inside this location in 10 years only because it's my go to drive up for downtown. Easy access to the drive through. The exterior of this location is a local hangout for the homeless regulars but that doesn't bother me because I love the city life. It's just a busy downtown corner and an employee can always be seen outside keeping the place clean.
I've been here plenty and never had a problem with my food. It's usually quick and as I ordered it with a good temperature. The restaurant itself is in a bad part of town as indicated by the near constant presence of a police officer doing guard duty. The lobby is usually in poor shape and the bathrooms are a bit scary. It's hard to maintain when your store is frequented by the homeless. There are fast food restaurants which are nice inside and good places to take the family to eat. This one if more for employees of local businesses and drive-thru. The staff members are good, courteous, and efficient. They'll even let you come back and refill your cup same day if you work nearby.
Now this was a cool Carl's Jr. I went here so many times that it's probably taken a couple years off my life. The reason being is that the coupon section of the newspaper would always have great coupons for this location. me and a bunch of the other college students they went to Neumont would all gather in a pack around lunch time and swarm the restaurant along with all the other construction workers. And somehow they would manage to process all of our orders and get us out in 20 minutes. I don't know if I really enjoyed eating at the location because of the amount of panhandlers in the area and I'd rather just take my food and go. However the staff is always friendly and understanding so if I did have to eat there I didn't feel too awful. If you're looking for a hot meal downtown this really is the cheapest option you can get.
Good place. Location is good. Once, their credit card reader was broken for the entire store, and they could only accept cash (but that was only once). Seems to be a popular place for cops, for whatever reason.
They are happy to substitute sourdough for buns, or change the condiments on your burger, per request. Generally a happy place.
We are from out of state and are staying across the street with no vehicle. The lobby had already closed but the night manager lady was so so sweet and accommodating letting us order outside. I wish I would of gotten her name because she truly went above and beyond!! I'm sure I scared her and she may have thought I was crazy, but she was amazing and made my day!! Thank you so much ma'am! I know how hard you were working and I truly appreciate your kindness and effort!!
Let me preface this review by stating that Carl's Jr is my favorite national burger chain. I love Carl's for their burger quality as well as healthier (bodybuilding friendly) chicken sandwiches, and option for a lettuce wrap rather than a bun.
With that said, this has been my favorite Carl's restaurant that I have visited. Not only is the staff during the day extremely efficient and accurate, they also have excellent customer service and always take the time to ask about my day and to interact with the customers.
I swore I'd never eat here again because of their commercials objectifying women were rather childish. Now that they're focusing on the food again, I thought I'd give them a try. Well, yeah, I'm a fan of their food. I think I've always been a fan of their food, I just needed something to bring me back in the restaurant, and changing their advertising to focus on the food has brought me back. Jalapeno Cheeseburger was spicy and delicious.
They had fresh oil!!! Ever ate nasty, heartburn makin', gut slugging fries? I had really good fries with my meal. I wish all fast food places were that concerned about the quality of their product.
My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and we were talking about how hungry we were. We were on our way to City Creek and we were enjoying our long walk up. We turned a corner, and as soon as we turned, we saw the golden star of hunger satisfaction, with our beloved 5$ meal box advertised in the window. It was everything that we wanted it to be, and the cookie tasted better than the ones back home. After eating my meal, I wondered if that's how Joseph Smith felt when he saw his visions. No wonder some people think Salt Lake City is such a holy place.
