Loved this place. My wife had the sweet and sour chicken. Instead of the usual small pieces of bread chicken it was a whole chicken breast breaded with a delicious sauce on it and then cut into edible portions. It was absolutely delicious. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and added a paddy of ham Egg Foo Young. The Kung Pap Chicken was advertised as being spicy, but I found it to be not so much and informed them so. They brought me out some of their chili sauce to use and it made my dish perfect. The sauce was spicy and had a fruity flavor too. My huge order of Kung Pao Chicken was loaded with chicken, peanuts, celery, carrots and green pepper. It was very good, but I could only eat about half of what they gave me. My single paddy of Egg Foo Young was the disappointment of my meal. Both the party and gravy were flavorless and textureless. I would not order this again. Besides the Egg Foo Young we were delighted with our meal. The waiter even brought out the bottle of chili sauce so I could get some myself.
This restaurant is run by a former cook at Magic Wok but closed due to refiguring the road system around them that greatly reduced their customer base. It is now located in a small strip mall by a Walmart. The food is great. Plenty of food. They have the best Sesame Chicken I have ever had. They have take out and home delivery. If eating in they have only one lady servicing approximately 8 tables and booths. Other people stand around waiting to take phone orders and do deliveries. However, food is very good and plentiful. Highly recommended the Sesame Chicken.
The Food is phenomenal!!! I ordered the seafood delight and WOW.. now that's what I'm taking about... NICE.. WILL DEFINITELY BE ORDERING AGAIN!!!
We were in love with the Magic Wok. The food at Lucky Chen is very similar, but better. We dine here about twice per month and would go a lot more if they had the really good soup. Super hot and fresh food.
Good food. If you liked Magic Wok it is the same food as they had there. It is really good Americanized Chinese food. The only downside is the prices, plan on at least $40-50 for two people. I'd go there a lot more if it was priced more reasonably. Still the best Chinese food restaurant in the area by far.
I love this place but they need to expand their dining area. We have been eating here since they opened and kind of miss the old days when we were the only ones here. Now they get really busy which I guess is a good thing since it means they will be around for awhile but darn I hate not being able to get a table.
Wonderful food at a good price. I followed the owner of Lucky Chen when he left another chinese resturant. hes fantastic cook! thanks Lucky Chen keep up good work. plus he delivers to my home now.
We LOVE this place!. I'm not from SLC originally, so it has been hard for me to find Chinese food that I like. Luckily, we found Lucky Chen... not only is the food delicious, but the service is great -- PLUS they deliver. Our family orders in twice a month. We highly recommend them.
Oh yummy heaven. Oh this is a wonderful liittle joint stuck in a strip mall. The food is always delicious, hot and fast! They are really attentive and wonderful there. I ordered this once for work and all of the guys were just raving about how delicious the food was.
They deliver so that is a HUGE plus for the days that the babysitter is watching the kids.
Chicken Noodles, Almond Chicken, Spring Rolls and Ham Fried rice are the best. Yummy!!
I had a good experience here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food tasted good, but nothing spectacular. I ordered a curry dish and it just tasted a little bland, plus the cooks added too many bell peppers which hid the lack of meat to the dish.
With that said, I did like it here....but overall not the best Chinese food I've had.
If you are looking for delicious Chinese food this is the place. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended the beef mushroom, sesame seed chicken, and chicken curry. All were amazing. She also recommended changing the peppers for broccoli and we should have listened. The chicken curry was the favorite.
Don't miss the egg rolls. For those of us who miss real, giant sized egg rolls, like Kowloon had, these guys have some that are very similar and very good.
This is the best take out food we have found in the area.
If you grew up eating at Magic Wok, then lucky Chen is where you need to eat. It’s the same exact cook and it’s the EXACT SAME FOOD! Nothing about their food is different from magic wok. It’s the best Chinese food you’ll ever eat! And if you don’t get the egg rolls your doing life all wrong! Best food, BEST EMPLOYEES EVER, and it’s a tiny little place so you don’t get overwhelmed with tons of people around! Love love love it
Dang, this Chinese place is awesome. I have lived close to this place for over six years until I finally partook of its goodness. I feel like my life could have been more fulfilling in those six years. The carry out timing was perfect even though it was extremely crowded. Mushroom beef all the way and the sesame chicken was good. The fortune cookies also have great fortunes! I will get more done this weekend if I have a little fun first.
Unbelievably good food. We tried the sweet and sour chicken with lo mein and chow mein, starting with wonderfully cooked cheese wontons and spring rolls. We love Chinese food and this spot has great flavor, cooked very good, and large portions.
The service was great, very nice staff. It's very busy place on the day we went. So be sure to wait abiut 10 minutes. Order of Egg Foo Yung to go, looking forward to more goodness at home.
The customer service is always amazing here. I normally get the sesame chicken with ham fried rice and an order of cream cheese wontons and they are sooo good!

Best restaurant in Utah. Definitely recommend coming here, the service is the greatest you’ll ever get. The food is mouthwatering. 10/10
