We love Moki's and recently had them cater our wedding. Organizing the catering was super easy and the set up at the venue was quick and professional. Most importantly, the food was SPECTACULAR! Two full weeks later and people are still raving about how good the food was.

We love their food. We were already in salt lake the first time we came. We liked it so much we now drive all the way from Ogden to eat there
Wow is this love good, by far my favorite place for Hawaiian in Salt Lake. My family and I eat here often and we all love it. The staff is always super friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious. I recommend everyone try this place.
I love Moki's! I love the food and the friendly service. I have introduced many of my friends and they usually end up as addicted to the food as I am. So good!
Pineapple delight is awesome! Good family environment:)
Just Like Oahu All Over Again!!!. I have only been to the islands a few times, but whenever I go to see family there this is the kind of food I eat!!! Ask the owners nephew to make you some of his new sushi too. He is VERY talented with a blade! They serve delicious Tongan style Chow Mein and amazing Hawaiian style Lau Lau. Not to mention the macaroni salad that tastes just like it does on the island. Oh! and the pineapple they serve on the side tastes like it's fresh out of the field!!! You can't get food any fresher and more delicious!!!
Went early and it was not busy. Friendly service. Moco loco was tasty, had it with hamburger but spam is an option. Surprise of the day was the spinach salad. I'd go back just for that.
I love Moki's for the Chicken Katsu! I always get the combo plate which has the chicken katsu and beef. It comes with plenty of rice and a salad of your choice. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and even a TV or two. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Great little place for lunch!
Great Hawaiian. I really love this place. They've got some of the best kalua pork and katsu chicken in town, and the best thing is, you can get both by simply ordering the combo plate. Add either the spinach salad or hawaiian salad - included with the combo - and you've got one tasty meal. Although the teriyaki meats (chicken or beef) are good, I don't think they come close to the kalua or katsu. Even the rice is tasty as they add some kind a salt to it that gives it a really nice flavor. One more note, the cabbage that comes under the pork is absolutely to die for. I always leave that for my last bite as it's so tasty. Again, love this place!
The ChinWag Review - Moki's Hawaiian Grill. Maybe its because I have spring fever but for the last little while I have been on a Hawaiian food kick. I have driven by Moki's dozens of times over the past few years but had never stopped in, not sure why exactly but it is what it is. A few weeks back I decided to give it a shot and I was pleased with my decision. Upon walking in I was greeted with an Aloha, the woman at the register was very friendly and helped me decide what to order. She talked with me for a bit and asked me if I had been in before, she was a very friendly and genial person, it made my visit that much better. The atmosphere is fun but not overly cluttered and they have a decent amount of seating available to you. I placed my order then went to look around, I found a board with notes written by customers, they seem to have a very loyal following and I always like that about restaurants. My food was ready much faster than I expected.
I have been to Moki's twice and on my first visit I ordered a combo plate with the Teriyaki Chicken and the Kalua Pork, two of my favorites, served with rice and a salad of my choice. I went with the Hawaiian salad, a mix of chicken, cabbage, noodles, almonds, and Moki's dressing. It was a very sweet salad and the overall taste and quality of it impressed me. The Teriyaki Chicken was great, very tender and with a lot of flavor, this is my favorite so it was important to me that it was so tasty. The Kalua pork was the best I had tasted outside of a luau, fresh tasting with just the right amount of salt. I find the salt to be one of the most important aspects of kalua pork, if you don't get it just right it is very noticeable.
My second trip to Moki's I decided to get another combo plate and check out the other meat and salad options, this time I went for the Katsu Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and the Macaroni salad. I have nothing bad to say about the salad as it was what I expected, good but didn't stand out from other macaroni salads I have had. The Katsu Chicken is a breaded chicken option, very tasty and I think this would be a big hit for all of the chicken tender fans, it comes with a tangy sauce that packs a punch. The Teriyaki Beef was good but it is hard for me to get excited about teriyaki beef in general, I liked it but nothing about it jumped out and slapped me in the face, that is what I would need to make a big deal about it.
All in all I think Moki's might be my favorite Hawaiian Grill I have tried so far, great food and great service, what more could you ask for? The food is reasonably priced, it is on par with most other Hawaiian Grills, and dining in or take-out is quick and easy. If you like Hawaiian food I suggest you try Moki's, I know I will be going back.
Great experience at Moki's. Loved the Hawaiian themed food. The Spam Musubi was great. I'll admit I wish there had been more Spam. The Sticky Chicken seemed a little dry. The Garlic Chicken was excellent. Loved the rice and macaroni salad. Definitely worth the visit.
Immediately walking in, I was greeted by a very friendly face at the register. She was very nice and I requested suggestions, as this was my first time.
I got the chicken with rice and pasta salad. I must admit, it was a little pricier and anticipated but the dish was very good.
Moki’s Hawaiian Grill was great! We are very glad we found this place. The food was authentic and tasted amazing. The staff were friendly. We also appreciated the ambiance and decor. You can tell the owners take pride in their lives establishment. We will definitely be back.
Listen me being from Hawaii and am missing that good authentic Hawaiian food. Moki’s is the place to go. I got a 2 meat plate with kalua pig and chicken katsu. The katsu could be a little bit more flavorful but all in all it was still good. And the lau lau was to die for. Definitely recommend this place if you want some real authentic Hawaiian food. This place is better than Mo bettas
Aloha! Thanks for being very kind. The food is very flavorful, and with the veggies, I can say it’s healthy as well. I enjoyed the meal and I appreciate the owners being very friendly. Your voices are so soft and gentle. I can’t get over it. Come for the food, stay for the voice as they say.
I used to go to Moki's all the time during my college days at SLCC! It's been so good to come back and get our favorites!
Their teriyaki chicken is so delicious and there is plenty. Wow! It's so perfectly cooked and the sticky rice and veggies really compliment the meal!
Then I tried the coconut shrimp with a salad and it was such a great meal and delicious.
We dined in and the staff was so sweet to us the whole time and took great care of us.
Mokis catered our vow renewal last night and they did an awesome job!! The food was amazing per usual and their food staff brought great energy and service to our event. We definitely recommend them for huge party events. Thank you Mokis for your part in making our special night a night to remember!
Food is the most authentic I’ve been able to find. Especially compared to the chains. Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is great. Their half pineapple dessert is overshadowed by their food but is amazing.
Did you know they also offer KETO and PALEO and low carb options? Order the kalua pork and sub steamed broccoli! YUM. Something for everyone.
My kids love the garlic and katsu chicken.
I love the pineapple ice cream they offer at Mokis. I usually get the cones but was wanting something more so i chose the bowl. However, once I received it I realized that it’s basically the same portion as the cone. And it was not in a bowl but rather a cup. Unfortunately, it’s not financially feasible to buy this cup for $7.25. This may be the last times I come to Mokis with their increase in prices. How unfortunate.
