Salem Oak diner is the best!!! the owner the cooks they are great people and definitely the food is delicious! it has a great atmosphere with all the employees so friendly and great decorations!!!
I have been eating at the Oak since I was a teenager back in the 70's. It is not the same as then but I,find it to be a great place to get some really good food at a price that will keep you coming back. Like any other diner they have some REAL GOOD specials and some not so great. I will be a customer until I die .
Been by the Salem Oak Diner many times, but never stopped by. I finally decided to pull over and give the place a try. A diner straight out of the past, it was cozy, had the traditional long counter and a few booths with jukeboxes at each table! I was there for lunch and ordered a salad and a grilled cheese w/bacon sandwich. One of the best I've ever had!! I'm so glad I stopped into the Salem Oak Diner! I will absolutely be back!!
Friendly, clean, oldstyle trailer atmosphere. Must try on a Friday for their homemade Cream of crab soup!!!! So yummy! Cafer is an awesome cook!!! Half sandwich and soup specials Monday thru Friday!!! All soups are homemade and tasty!!! Breakfast specials all week!!! Chip beef all day everyday!!!
This is a new fav of mine. Love how everything is original 1950’s! Very chill and laid back staff and they know 99% of every customers name. Food is really good, staff is nice, facilities are clean. Good vibes all around. Def stop in if you’re in the Salem area.

I ended up early in the morning in Salem, NJ. Salem Oak Diner has a surprisingly low rating on Google Maps. They happily accommodated my special request for a cheesesteak with eggs. It was $6.40 and came with a fruit cup on the side (or home fries). This is a very cool old-school Diner in an old city. I stayed focused on the old school coolness and not the actual cheesesteak.
Came in with the family and it was completely worth it. The staff is great, the food is great and you can't beat the price. You get a great bang for your buck with the portion sizes! Will definitely be back soon.
I really like this place. The people are friendly and the food is good. I especially like there breakfasts! Never had any problems with the waitresses. Its a nice place to come eat in peace! When I really want to be alone I sit in the back booths!
