I had The special, shrimp and scallops over rice it was excellent. The mango margarita hit the spot. I would recommend this place.
There the best Mexican food in town been going there for years I would recommend it
Me and my husband went to lunch after seeing a post on Salem eats Facebook page about them and we're SO glad we did. The food was AMAZING, as were the prices with super friendly kind staff. New favorite place. Will definitely be back!
I went to this place on a whim as I was walking by and heard they had Salvadorian food on the menu and they sure did! Many types of papusas and tamales cooked in banana leaf and casamiento and plantains ect. Some reviews say service was slow but I disagree, even when it got busy with the lunch crowd I still had everything I needed and was checked on. Love the food and next time I need some papusas I know where to go!
Fajita taco salad was large, but short on flavor. The salsa they serve with chips is SO GOOD. Kids cheese quesadilla had thick cheddar cheese that wasn't quite melted all the way. Guacamole was chunky and serving size was more than enough for 6 people. Got a margarita to go...very delicious. Quality of the food overall was good, but not that spice or kick of flavor I was hoping for.
Food was great. Just seemed like it took longer than normal to get the food. But, I love this place and don't know if they have staffing issues or whatever. Always Five Stars!
Ryan Laws here with Oregon Window Cleaning and we just wanna say we love this place. My employees eat here on lunch and I can honestly say I personally eat here about once a day. The food is amazing and the prices are fair, more than fair. I assume pricing will need to go up with all the costs associated with running a business but still. $12.50 gets you the Pollo la crème plate which is sooooooo delicious and such a large amount. Instead of flour tortillas I do corn because I was pre diabetic and I was able to fix that by switching to corn tortillas which La Margarita Express hand makes and they too are delicious. Sometimes the wait is a little long but I come at times when hardly anyone is here and it works out for me. Try it, you’ll love it.
Delicious, authentic salsa and Salvadoran tamales (tamals). Yum! And the prices are very reasonable. Quiet atmosphere. A good place to meet up and talk.
Excellent El Salvador Food! I wish I had remembered to take photos of our 3 dinner plates. (We wanted to try more but can only eat so much. LOL) I came in with my son and we were seated right away. Lots of tables and very roomy. My son and I were both surprised because from outside it looked so small. Very clean restaurant and friendly customer service. Everyone had Smiles even though they were near closing our waitress was very patient while we ask questions about items on the menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back! :-)
