Lil’ Mickey’s is the Real Thing! I’ve had Memphis, Carolina, and Texas barbecue and Lil’ Mickey’s is as good as being on Beale Street!
Super friendly service, who not only gave us great recommendations on their menu, but checked on us during and after our meal. The meal was to our table less than 5 minutes after ordering and was hot, fresh, and exactly what we ordered. The pulled pork was phenomenal and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender.
The restaurant is a converted older building, so nothing fancy, but when you’re in the mood for barbecue that’s not the priority, is it? Decor includes framed prints of Blues greats, as well as multiple years of “Best of St. Louis” barbecue awards. Well-deserved!
Lil Mickey’s is great! Our family has been long time loyal customers since they were located on Mexico Road. BBQ joints come and go in the area but this one is lasting the test of time. If you haven’t been, give it a try. You won’t be sorry.
Great Food! Homemade sides. Love the slaw myself. The beans even have meat mixed in. Family ran restaurant. Highly Recommended. Check it out, you won't be sorry.
A Sleeper. Not the big name in town but the BBQ is great. Great sauce but the meat stands on it's own.
Our first time visiting the restaurant. I had the ribs and my husband had the rib tips. The meat is cooked to perfection, very tender and flavorsome. The baked beans don't look like they are just from the can, but they are fairly tasty with hunks of meat in them. The potato salad was not good. I think the slaw dressing shoud be used in the potato salad to give it more flavor. I recommend the restaurant because the meat is fantastic.
I was in town on business and this place was recommended by locals... It did not disappoint. I got the brisket. It was beautifully smoked, where you could see that nice color ring. There appeared to only be one house sauce, but it was very good. The brisket itself could have been warmer temperature wise, but again, taste wise it was right on. The fries were over seasoned for my taste and I'd get slaw next time. All in all I would rewind this place to anyone.
BRISKET!!!. Brisket is amazing!!! The sauce is very sweet and good! One of my favorite BBQ places overall and I have been to several over Memphis, Texas, etc...
All around good. Most times I get take out, but when its BBQ on my mind or a family party to cater, this is the only place I go to locally. The family owned and operated resturant lends to a small town feel of customer satisfaction. The good music bellowing out gives you a moment of blues in the south while you wait or dine in. The BBQ pork and coleslaw is where happiness is.
The Help. The food is good and they have an excellent sauce. The problem is the woman on the counter has the nastiest attitude I have ever seen. Whom ever is the owner needs to replace her with someone with people skills. When ever I come there and see her I think about turning around and going someplace else. But, as I said the food is very good, just the woman on the counter.
Good food!. Had lunch there on Saturday and the food was very good. We had the chopped brisket meal with sides of potato salad and baked beans. The meat is nicely seasoned, moist and very tender. They serve the meat on one side of the plate with the sauce on the other so that each person can add as much sauce or as little as desired. The meal also comes with bread, by this they mean a slice of white bread so dont expect a roll or anything. They have both Coke and Pepsi available in cans, there is not a soda fountain. We quite enjoyed the food and will go back but next time as take out. The "seating" section of the restaurant is very small and not really appealing to me. This is definitely a order and take home meal!
Tasty Memphis BBQ with large portions, friendly service and good location. Sauce was a bit sweet for me (I like traditional vinegar based sauce with pulled pork), but hey this is Missouri. Yummy!
Best pulled pork sandwich in the area! And they know how to serve it right! (With slaw on it, but of course you can order it without the slaw if you don't appreciate it like I do, lol). Baked beans are very good too!
I was looking for a TRUE Memphis BBQ & I found it here! I drove there a purchased a pulled pork sandwich & Baden beans. This was the best, Memphis BBQ I have had in years! I have family in Memphis & grew up on Memphis-style BBQ. If you want fast, very friendly & courteous service & true Memphis-style BBQ, this is the place for sure! I felt like my Grandmother made this meal! Excellent! I will definitely be back & will tell friends to check this place out! Cudos to the owners & staff! 😊😉

This is my all time favorite. Beef ribs and brisket sandwich . Coleslaw was ice cold. The food is FABULOUS the service is great. They have a drive through. I have decided I'm never going anywhere else ever. It's family owned and its not close to me. I have been going for ten years and the food consistency is amazing. I won't spend my money anywhere else
This is the best BBQ around!!! Absolutely delicious. Their homemade sauce is amazing, get extra!! It's funny because it's in an old Taco Bell building, but the food is so good - the building doesn't matter. Get it to go and bring home a delicious barbecue meal!
Great food.It is carry out only now,but they have a drive thrue to get you waited on quickly.
