Nice and calm feel inside, food presentation is great and don't forget the yummy food. Good selection on the menu too. Romantic place .
My family absolutely loves Haiku in MH! The sushi and hibachi are always fantastic and the service is wonderful. My husband and I stopped in late last night and were able to enjoy their happy hour for the first time. The selection was great, prices reasonable and the sushi excellent! I highly recommend checking out this little known gem if you haven't had the chance.
Upscale spot for sushi.
I enjoyed the tuna lover entree with an appetizer gyoza. It came with soup and a small salad. The food was delicious and what you'd expect at a good sushi restaurant.
Service was great, water glass kept full without asking.
Dining room was a little chilly, but lots of regulars seemed to stop in as staff knew everyone.
I always enjoy going here and want them to do well and stay in Mendota Heights. Been coming for years, but most recently when i visited, the octopus was a little watery and squishy. Unfortunate because the spicy tuna and other nagiri were great. My kids like the Japanese sodas they sell and they have other non sushi items like chicken fried rice.
Edit: May 2022, the quality of the rolls preparation needs work. Rice spilling out and rolls falling apart. See photo
My first time eating sushi 🍣 and this was delicious! We got again tiger roll, salmon family roll and the spicy tuna and avocado roll
The sushi is the best around, bar none. My husband was based in NYC for two years and he said it matches the best he can find there. I am partial to the hibachi dinners. It's rare that you can get such delicious tasting meals that are so healthy for you! The owners are warm and welcoming and I love the ambiance. It's close to the Vikings training camp if you ever want to get out that way! It will be worth the trip :)
Always enjoy coming here for Sushi, my current favorite in the area. Asian Tiger Roll with at bottom, salmon family roll at top, spicy tuna and avacado top left. Second photo is Asian tiger roll with Mango tuna roll.

Some of the best sushi on the east side of the Twin Cities paired with super friendly service.
Good selection, sushi was prepared well. The Peppered tuna was a bit overdone in the Dancing Tuna Roll but it still tasted good. The Yellow Dragon Roll was delightful. Service was excellent.
This is without a doubt the best sushi and hibachi I've ever had in MN. Try the Asian Tiger roll, you won't regret it. Even the presentation is beautiful. You won't regret it!
