Rocket Fizz

Review Date: November 7th, 2018 A sweet end to a long day in St. Louis. A friend told me about a place she visited in Indianapolis called ‘Rocket Fizz’ and all the sugary sweets and goodies they have. I instantly added it to my travel list and made plans to visit one in Indy. Cue a few years passing and I am looking for things to do during my trip to St. Louis. I see there is a Rocket Fizz in the city with the giant arch! But alas, it closed in February of 2018. Fast forward to this date and I got to The Pageant a bit early for my show, so I decided to walk up and down Delmar to pass some time. Lo and behold, I see a Rocket Fizz! But wait, is that an OPEN sign in the window? Yes! Yes it was. Not only was there an open sign, but there were people leaving it with goodies in their hands. I get excited and book it over there. I had no idea what I was walking in to but I can tell you that it ended up being heaven. This place is wall-to-wall sugar. Sodas for as far as the eye can see. Candy from the floor to the ceiling. A sweet tooth’s dream and heaven. This place made my inner child so happy. I saw a ton of candy that I’ve had over the years. I saw a ton of sodas that were unique. They had 3 kinds of bacon soda. They had energy drinks in many varieties. They had vintage-style tin signs for brands and popular things. This store has it all for a sweet tooth or sweet teeth. I ended up grabbing a few sodas for some friends as small Christmas gifts. I pondered getting some candies for the show but after the long day of exploring, I was full and satiated from all the other places I visited. I do plan on coming back next time I am in St. Louis for some cavity-giving sweets. Luckily, you don’t have to be in St. Louis or Indianapolis to visit a Rocket Fizz. According to their website, they have 90 locations throughout the USA. Search one out and take care of that sweet tooth.

Great selection of sodas and candy. Prices for the special like unique stuff is pretty good, but if you are buying more generic candy you could buy at any other store it is high. Lady working when we went was super nice and offering suggestions and bringing out samples for guests. Love all the displays and fun finds. Some of these candies or sodas I haven't found anywhere in a long time!

The go to spot if your searching for that elusive or exclusive soda. The store had a neat vintage look with lots of signage and displays, and they had my glass bottle, pure cane sugar Faygo!

Cute hole in the wall shop with fun decor great atmosphere. Variety is large (and they have home brands, off brands, and name brands) but can be hit or miss (they either have it in 5 flavors or don't have it or anything like it). Workers are also extremely nice.
