Mekong used to be the place and it still is a nice spot for Vietnamese standards; however, I have found the restaurant needs a makeover. It hasn't changed much over the years. The food is tasty and fresh but lacking something that makes this food cuisine unique.
the food is consistent and delicious. Staff Friendly atmosphere chill, right in the heart of TGS. It's been at that location as far back as I can remember; Owned and operated by the same family. Along with the Upstairs Lounge, Mekong IS the original flavor and pulse of TGS and Grand South Grand.
This place is TOTALLY AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Very under rated. The french / vietnamese cafe is to die for! The chicken curry dishes are unbelievable! I love this place! Prices are very reasonable also. Staff is very attentive and friendly too. 10! 100%

My favorite Vietnamese. The beef with lemon grass is fantastic. Every appetizer is great.
