I've shared reviews of this location before, and honestly this is the first time I have been back in about two years because of the horrible visit last time.
I have to say that the staff have redeemed my faith in the location. They still suffer with the same issues of employees not showing up to work their shifts, leaving their coworkers high and dry and making up for the work they are supposed to do. However, the ladies we experienced today were on top of things!
The food is still Denny's food, which is a solid diner menu. I wish that the staff understood how important presentation is when delivering a meal to a customer's table. I don't like to have black/burnt pieces of someone else's order cooked into my pancakes. Maybe it's just me, but I find that a little disturbing.
The men's room was pretty clean this visit, the dining room was kept cleared, our table was cleared when we had empty plates, and drinks were refilled quite timely. The women's restroom left a little too be desired to start, with trash overflowing and all over the floor. However, we let one of the staff know and it was cleaned up while we were still there!
It seems that the manager is doing well in turning this place into a better diner to come enjoy a meal and spend some time with family and friends.
Food here is great. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. If there is a mistake they will make it right. They are friendly especially the evening and night staff.
I had not been to this Denny's in over 4 yrs, because food quality, and service went down. Went Saturday with family and the parking lot was full, it was very busy. Thought there would be a wait, but went right in and was seated. The food and service was great, no powdered eggs! Updated menu. I will definitely come back.
Best breakfast we had since being in St.Louis. Our server Shawn deserves a 10. She was quick to table ...accommodating and never missed a beat. Will be sure to ask for her on our way out. With her level of service along with the food..its a GOOD reason to return
This place stays busy so the wait sometimes is a little long but other than that..good service good food
The food was great and so was the Service.
Went here yesterday (December 3, 2017) and was pleasantly surprised. The building itself was outdated, however the waitstaff was super friendly. Our waitress Denise was exceptional. I could not say enough good things about her. Best service I've had anywhere in years. She was so thorough and perceptive and genuinely kind. Food came out quickly and Denise was prepared with all the extra condiments she could offer. I was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I have named this our new favorite spot. Such great service!
Wonderful service and attentive staff! I was asked several times if i needed anything, or more coffee, or if everything tasted good.
I got a simple breakfast slam and it was cooked to perfection- very tasty and well-presented. I think a lot of the times the flaw with reviews is that people are more likely to share a negative experience than a positive one. This place may not look like much but i consider it a diamond in the rough.
We went on a snow day, so the experience was likely different from average. The staff was very kind and all of our orders were correct on the first try. The food was good and prices were nice for the quantity of food received. Only draw back was that the driveway was not cleared of snow, which made it tricky to get in and out. Overall it was a great experience and I will likely return at some point. I would recommend if you are looking for an easy, hearty breakfast.
Good food, friendly service. Recommend going earlier than 10AM otherwise you might be busy.
