This place is the best, great service, the food is all ways great, Monday night's best time for tacos!!!!
Their food is delicious and their service is awesome. I really enjoy eating on their patio when it's nice outside and watch people dancing whenever they have salsa dancing night
This restaurant is rarely busy, which I am totally fine with. I know that when I'm having a craving for Mexican, I won't have to wait very long. I wouldn't say I've ever been completely blown away by the food hence the 4-star review, but it satisfies the craving. They do have plenty of vegetarian options, too, if that is what you're seeking.
The service has always been great, and the prices are affordable.
Really good American-Mexican comfort food. The portions are big, prizes are fair and flavor is there.
In our group of 6, we have tried 6 different dishes and everybody loved theirs.
The nachos taste delicious - not too greasy and the salsa and queso are tasty as well.

I had a very good experience at this restaurant. It was actually my very first time eating there. We were there celebrating my mother's birthday. Everything looked and smelled amazing! You'll see from my photos that the decor is very unique and welcoming and endearing. Also, the restroom was clean! They get extra kudos, from me, for having a good, clean restroom. The reason why I only gave them four stars as opposed to five it's because I am a pescatarian. And they did have a dish for me to eat: I had fish tacos! My only gripe, though, was that I wanted salmon and not tilapia. I'm not really a fan of tilapia. However, tilapia was the only fish that they had and I was forced to consume that. It didn't taste bad. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just not a fan of tilapia. But, the server was quite nice. I can't remember his name, now. However, he was very friendly and affable.
Edit: We return time and time again for the good Mexican food, good price and good service. Today a waitress stopped and talked to me about the mole sauce they use. Very good.

Visited here for a work lunch, and the food was fast and amazing! There were eight of us total, and the wait time was short. Had the quesadilla ranchera, and it was delicious. The tables were clean, and the food was priced fairly. Will come back again.
It has been my experience since the early 90's that El Maguey stores reliably offer good Mexican-style entrees at a reasonable price whether in Paducah, Kentucky or in Columbia, Missouri. This site in St. Louis is no different. The food was good as was the service. I often find that Mexican restaurants over salt their dishes. A tip, I prefer minimal salt on my food so I make a point of bringing that to the attention of my server.
Wonderful restaurant! The staff is so friendly and great with my kids. The food is delicious! My kids gobbled it up!
I come here atleast 2-4x a month! We're regulars and I love that they know this. The food is ALWAYS fresh and the staff is wonderful-best part is the drinks are strong 😋

Staff changed and so did prices and hospitality, but the food and drinks are still on point!!
Ordered from Uber Eats. The Chimichanga and enchilada was pretty good. I’ve had better and definitely had worse. All in all I could eat it again but I would rather experience dining in
