The decor is exquisite. The owner Lillian C. is friendly and professional. The menu choices are excellent.
The only concern I have is the salt in the pork chops, too much salt!!

This is a hidden gem in South City. I'm almost reluctant to post a review because I want the restuarant to become overcrowded ...especially the days when I'm there (sorry not sorry).
In September 2019, I hosted a Sunday family dinner after church for my son's birthday. It was the 1st time many of my family members visited the restaurant. No complaints. Our server even sang a special rendition of Happy Birthday to my 9yr old.
Personal attention, cozy atmosphere, meatless side items, and delicious soul food makes this a FAVORITE place for Sunday dinners...or any day I don't want to cook.
I request: Please add fountain drinks.

Soul food search works, but not restaurant search. Definitely needs to be fixed.!
Best meatloaf I ever had, greens were clean, tender and well seasoned, sweet potatoes were tasty.
The atmosphere has a very New Orleans vibe, the staff are humble and friendly and professional.
I had sit down dinner here with my family a while back and the experience was A1. Cant wait to go back!

Cutest place ever!! It’s like a bougie soul food vibe that I love. Catfish was amazing, potatoes were FIRE, yams good af!! The dinning area was super cute made me feel comfortable like really home-y vibe to it!
One of the absolute best soul food restaurants in the St. Louis area! The decor is beautiful, the food is always hot, I love the variety and the price is reasonable. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Wow! My family and friends came from California and was introduced to the best soul food and service that we have had in quite a while. The ambiance was incredibleThey really treated us like family and Tavon is truly a great host etc etc. He does a lot. St. Louis you are lucky to have this place ❤❤❤
The Choice is a taste of southern hospitality in the midwest! Great food, entertainment, and elegant atmosphere. Feels like home at big mommas house.
