Great experience. There on a Wednesday before a show at the Fox theater. The place was packed, but we got a table right away. The service was great but slow because of that circumstance. Great margaritas, got one of the shrimp dishes and it was really good. Got the three taco plate with black beans and spinach and mushrooms as a side. The black beans were kind of boring. The only taco we didn’t like was the beef one because the beef is pretty dry. The other tacos were amazing. Three different taco sauces. The green one was the most mild in the most flavorful. Will definitely be back still five stars.
Wow! Truly amazing flavor! The birria tacos had so much flavor. And the plantains were perfect texture and perfect sweetness!
It was good. They opened at 11:00, the door was locked until 15 minutes after. They seemed to be a bit understaffed. Food was spot on, but then again, it’s hard to mess up Mexican cuisine.
Most refreshing margarita of my life! Taste like nothing I've had before. Fresh juices, no sour mix. Steak burrito was absolutely amazing! Only downfall is price - $16 for 1 burrito. Highly recommend greens as a side. Taste like pot lol
Love coming here on Tuesdays for $2 tacos (there's oftentimes live music/events near the outdoor seating). Can't beat the tocino tacos, but all of the tacos I've tried are delicious! The staff are super accommodating and sweet as well (one of the waitresses ran down the street to return a customer's purse)!
Great food, good service! There on a Saturday night. I did find it odd that plates came out one at a time. This is the only reason it is not getting all 5 stars! This does not take away that the food was amazing and the service worked hard.
Pretty decent taco place to grab a quick dinner before the Fox show. Fish taco and pork belly taco are very tasty and well cooked. Fried plantains are also pretty good. Love their condiment tray. Waiters are very attentive. They will ask you if you have shows in Fox or Powell so they know your showtime for a quick checkout.
Lucha is pretty great. Great flavors you can't beat. We got the platter with 3 tacos and 2 sides with margaritas and shots. They have a nice taco selection as well.
If you haven't been here yet. Go!!! The tacos are delicious, my personal favorite is the pork belly or Tocino as it's listed on the menu and the fish/pescado taco. The drinks are amazing as well especially for the price!!!! And the list goes on but I've been hooked since my first Taco!!! Our party of four ate here prior to seeing a show at the Fox...mainly because of it's close proximity to the theater. The food was amazing. I had the terrific tamale plate--a fresh tamale with a side of baked veggies (which were seasoned to perfection) and a side of plantains. My S.O. is not crazy about Mexican food, but she was able to enjoy a fried shrimp dinner that she claims is one of the best she's ever had. (And she really loves her shrimp). She complains that Mexican restaurants don't offer alternatives on their menu. Certainly not the case here.
Whether you're going to the Fox or not, I highly recommend this restaurant. But before you go, be sure to check their hours as they are not open every day.
