The atmosphere the night of the blues game was unreal. The back patio is great and the staff...ever better. Highly recommend!
The food and the service are always top notch. It has undergone a lot of changes in the past 5 years and all to better the establishment. New ownership has great ideas and loves and respects the surrounding community. Only thing I would change if I were them is adding a cornhole set.

We stopped in on our way to a hockey game and had something to eat and drink before taking their shuttle to the game. Their tacos were AMAZING! I ordered 2 of the 3...the beef and the fish. The fish taco was the better of the two. My husband had all 3,the third of which was shrimp, and he agreed that the fish taco was the best but all 3 were great.
The atmosphere was nice, laid back, and fun. Nice people working there. It was great. Stop in some time!
Volleyball league is very relaxed and fun. Bar food and good vibes.
Great neighborhood bar and grill in the Benton Park and Soulard area! This is a friendly fun bar. A great spot to make into your "home bar" and become a regular. The food is really impressive. It's a great spot for lunch. They have a late night menu so you can count on still being able to get some great food at Trueman's long after most bar kitchens are closed. They have a big patio with HDTVs and lots of tables and chairs out back. The patio is enclosed and heated in the winter, and its also dog-friendly and smoker-friendly. Lots of big screen TVs inside too. In the bar or on the patio, Trueman's is a great spot to watch the Cards, Blues, Sunday Football or UFC fights! They run a free shuttle bus to all Cards & Blues home games and other downtown events too.
Cheese curds here are a must order item and the shuttle to the games is quite convenient. Food is tasty, I had a perfectly cooked burger, and everything is very reasonably priced.
Workers gave great service, but customers looked at me as if they saw a ghost. I felt very unwelcome.

Love their free stadium shuttle service! 2 dollar Tuesdays are great as well. Lovely outdoor seating with a sandpit with volleyball!
If you are looking for a sports bar in Benton Park/Soulard then Truemans is a good call. They have food, outdoor seating, sand volleyball courts and shuttles to all the sports games. The food is nothing special but like I said if you are looking for a sports bar, then its not a bad choice.
Came here the other nite and went out on the patio and could not get service which wasn't cool so I went in and sat at the bar and ordered nachos and I've had nachos from a lot of places and by far the best bartender was awesome so I give it a 5 star regardless that I could not sit outside on the patio.
Fun place for volleyball and watching games. Some good food and drink specials. Service can be slow at times when busy on the patio
