First time dining here and I was seated automatically despite it being taco Tuesday and the place being packed. The food didn't take very long and was pretty good. I ordered half chicken and half beef tacos. Both came with cheese and lettuce. Straight to the point but filled up on a budget. Our server was nice and moved fast.. Will be returning.
The margaritas are big and cheap, the food is very good large portions still at a good price. The staff is very nice and the interior is well decorated.
It's so good! It's definitely authentic Mexican food. I am a California girl so it's hard to find good food like it is back home. This is one of my favorite spots. The California burrito is my favorite. Beef tip 👌
This is a cute little place, it's decorated well and has hand painted murals on the walls. It wasn't too crowded when I stopped in and the staff waited on me and others quickly.
Fast service, good food and margaritas. Recommend the fried ice-cream too.

Edit: Returned for Taco Week offerings this year. Was not disappointed with the food. The tacos had a fresh flavor and were delicious. The only downside was the waiter was not not available when we were finished and wanted to settle the bill. We were able to get another staff member to take care of us.
The house frozen margarita was very good. And very cold!
This place is in walking distance of my home, and I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing... because I eat here constantly. There isn't a week that goes by these days without delicious El Tapatio food. The chips are good and crunchy, not super thin. The tacos (especially on Tuesdays, when they're on special) are pretty good. The Wednesday special of La Gaviota (also pictured) is my favorite! So good. So cheap. Great staff. Give it a try and enjoy all the Mexican music they pipe through the speakers, appropriately replete with tuba. :)

Good fresh tasting food. Service is good. The music is a little loud but all in all we enjoyed our meal and visit.
I've been to lots of Mexican restaurants and their Mexican rice is the best I've ever had!
