Visited The Preston for Mother's Day dinner, and was completely blown away. The space hasn't changed much since it's days as Cafe Eau, but the menu is completely different. Everything is small plate driven, and the Preston chefs bring their A game. We sampled the server-recommended octopus, the arancini and a fish selection (whose name escapes me); all were unique, flavorful and presented in an appealing manner. Tried two of the four desserts - a black forest inspired mousse and a smoked creme brulee. Both were great, though if I had to pick a favorite I would vote the creme brulee. Wine list was extensive and in-line with a restaurant of this caliber. The service was just as standout as the food. Our waiter, Jay, gave honest feedback when we asked for recommendations, was attentive, and really went above by speaking with my toddler daughter about the food and ingredients. The small plate setup is perfect for any kind of night out - whether its a light dinner before a movie there at the Chase or a lengthy evening of many courses with friends, The Preston has you covered. This was our first visit to The Preston, and it most definitely will not be our last. Five stars-plus.

This is the second year in a row that my husband and daughter have taken me here for Mother’s Day. The experience was absolutely wonderful both years, and Jay is so knowledgeable about the menu/wine list and so welcoming. We would recommend The Preston to anybody looking for a special meal.

The place is nice but the food should be better. Going to the Preston is a nice experience. The restaurant is very well located inside the Chase. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance is interesting and appropriate for the place. The servers are very nice and attentive. I believe food should be better considering the place the restaurant is located and the prices they charge. The amount of options offered is appropriate. If the food were better I would consider prices appropriate.

My family and I came here for Thanksgiving lunch. They were one of the few places that had reasonable prices along with reservations. Upon arrival we were offered a table or booth. We opted for a booth and got a great, cozy half circle booth. The restaurant was not very crowded but busy enough to not feel weird. Our server was Alexandria. They were polite, professional, and gave great suggestions for the food. They made sure to give us space for our family to enjoy our time together, waited patiently to ask if everything was okay if we were in conversation, and made sure we were never in need of anything. Their passion for the food and the creativity of the chefs at the hotel was evident whenever they made a recommendation. Alexandria was one of the best servers I've experienced and appreciate all they did. The food was outstanding. So much so I only got a picture of the pumpkin cheesecake. My wife and I had the Thanksgiving special which featured a salad, soup, main dish, and dessert. I had the Caesar salad (unique prsentation with hald a head of romaine and delicious), the Lobster bisque (rich, creamy, flavorful, but not overpowering) and the pork chop (cooked to perfection with amazing spices and sweet sauce that complimented splendidly). The pumpkin cheesecake was delightfully light and not to sweet or rich. The candied pumpkin seeds were a combination I never knew I needed. My wife had the beat salad, butternut squash bisque (like a liquefied pie, possibly even better than the lobster bisque) and the pork. My kids had a cheeseburger with Mac and cheese (both were arguably the best I've ever experienced and I raise my own beef!) and the chicken tenders. The bread that was served in between courses was baked to perfection, and the cheese and herb spread was a taste sensation. All in all, the Preston gave us a safe, cozy space for our family to enjoy our time together, reflect on the previous year, and hope for the future. All the staff was professional, friendly, and upbeat. The food was marvelous and superb. I'd highly recommend the Preston and would come back again.

Amazing brunch! Incredible, friendly, fast service who catered to our girls, inspired menu, and the best omelet I’ve had - so fluffy and fresh. 10/10 recommend.

A party of 5 of us went for dinner. First we each had a cocktail at the bar and they were all delicious! I highly recommend trying a couple. The menu is all small plates so be ready to share (which is what we normally do anyway). All the food we ordered was very tasty and presented well. The pretzel croissants were one on the favorites followed by the deep fried deviled eggs. Oh, and service was excellent and super friendly. My only complaint was that everything was pretty heavy, if your in the mood for that then it's fantastic.

Wonderful! Just Wonderful! I couldnt believe how amazing the steak was, the beet salad was to die for! The only thing on dinner was the ceasar salad was way too fishy. Thats all but breakfast is a whole another story, things were missed on both days, I asked for extra whip cream for the pancakes and they never gave that, never refilled my soda, and never checked on me. Breakfast sadly fell short of expectations but dinner was a delight! Also the place is to be fancy, I get that but fancy words lead to miscommunication and even the servers didnt know what the words were suprisingly. This is why we must keep illegal aliens out, if they dare cross the border, be like north korea and take them down.

The only thing better than the atmosphere and the hearty breakfast was the wonderful service from our waitress Alice!

Good spot for brunch. I’d skip the buffet and stick to the menu though. Inside a gorgeous hotel in a nice cute area.

We dined here three times for breakfast during our stay at the Chase, and were very impressed. We had exceptional service from Alice, and were so impressed that we requested her as our server again. The food was delicious, and they had a diverse offering of breakfast options, including options for meat lovers and vegans alike. Spectacular mimosas and great atmosphere. When we are back in St. Louis we will certainly make it a point to dine here again.
