I've driven by this place a thousand times and always wanted to stop in but, just never did until yesterday. Was I crazy to keep passing this place up? YES I was! Everything from to the food, the waitress, the manager and the ambiance was just fantastic! We had such a great time and meal for our " date night" Would totally recommend this place to anyone! The flaming cheese was my personal favorite, enjoy!!

Olympia is a great spot if you need a lot of filling food for a good price. Their menu has a little bit of everything, but personally I really enjoyed the Moussaka, as well as the chicken kabob platter. Their food reminds me of a home cooked Mediterranean meal with portions to match. The outdoor patio area is perfect for cooler summer evenings. Inside is a little too cramped for me, so outside is your best bet. They have a dedicated parking lot if you’re visiting from outside the neighborhood. I believe they’re also on DoorDash, so don’t let traveling prevent you from trying them out.

Lovely inside, lovely people. The good, the bad and the ugly: Good: Avgolemono Soup, probably one of the most delicious soups ive ever had in my life. It was like lemon velvet. 🍋 Greek salad 🥗 with chicken, pretty good. Basic, what you expect. Lettuce, feta, chicken, green pepper, a few olives. Lamb gyro 🌯, it was okay. But just okay. Honestly slightly disappointed we were at a greek restaurant but the gyro was not so "greek". Very basic but not bad. Bad: the kids meal chicken strips were almost inedible because they were cooked so long they became hard as a rock. The rice.....wheres the flavor? Literally no seasonings or anything, just meh. The ugly: not the fault of the restaurant but traffic is LOUD and i mean really loud. It faces a busy street. The patio is nice if there's no traffic. People speed like crazy. Police should enforce.

Excellent authentic Greek food experience in St. Louis. Recommend the mezedes and local Olympia Blonde Ale on tap. Service was on point, friendly, and attentive. Would highly recommend for anyone!

I ordered to go from the bar. The guy was super nice. He gave me some ice water while I waited, and I didn’t even ask him for that. The food was pretty good too. I do wish they used basmati rice though, I bet the flavor would be amazing. I think they used parboiled rice or some other short grain rice.

Olympia Kabob House is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is efficient and friendly. If you choose to dine outside, be aware that the street noise is challenging. If you're a fan, begin with their Kalamari ($14.99). Both the rings and the tentacles are lightly battered and fried to tender perfection. They offer both cocktail sauce or creamy dill sauce, If you want both, there's an additional charge. Though we didn't have it on this visit, the Saganaki ($11.99) is also a great choice. Kasseri cheese is flamed in brandy tableside, and served with pita wedges. I ordered the Gyro Burger ($15.99), a thick beef burger, charbroiled and topped with thin slices of Gyro meat, feta cheese and tzatziki sauce and pickles and lettuce on the side. This is not a dainty burger to eat. It's drippy and messy, and wholly delicious. The only glitch was that instead of being medium, as requested, it was most definitely well-done. The fries were crispy, and not the least but greasy. In past visits, I have enjoyed their falafel ($11.99), the Gyro on Pita ($8.99) and the Vegetarian Gyro ($10.99), which is lighter, but a tasty combination of sautéed red onion, zucchini, mushroom, and green peppers, topped with lettuce, tzatziki and feta cheese and rolled in a pita. Our waiter was friendly, and very efficient. Our food arrived in a timely manner, though the restaurant was quite busy and there was a steady stream of take out customers. And there's ample parking directly across the street. Olympia Kabob House is a gem!

Ok, ok so I've picked up multiple orders from this place and hubby coincidentally chose this for our mystery date night dinner🫣😍 and this man has been ON IT Y'ALL!! With a full house we were seated immediately, but there isn't much wiggle room if you aren't in a booth. Service was phenomenal, but the food is what took my breath away and gave me the "ITIS"🤣🤣... Authentic Greek will never let you down, from pricing to presentation - we will definitely be back! The "flaming" cheese was just an appetizer and as you can see the presentation was EXACTLY why we copied off of the table next to us lolbvs...friends and hubby got the lamb kabob deluxe and I got the spinach thing and a side of hummus -Look, go eat cuz mannnnn😋

I've been going to Olympia since I was a kid in the 80s. With that being said, I am somewhat disappointed after not being here for a few years due to relocating out of state. I moved back and I was excited to try one of my old favorites. Let me start with the spanakopita. You used to get a large square and now it's a couple of small triangles. It's a completely different meal. It was still good, but the expectation did not meet the reality. Way overpriced for what it is now. The saganaki.. the same as I remember and still very good. Last night was the best I had, it seemed to have more "crust" to it. The deluxe gyro platter. Downsized the meat. Still relatively inexpensive and tasty. The best thing anyone ordered was the lamb kabobs and the deluxe lamb Kabob. The same platter..the deluxe has more vegetables, which my husband enjoyed. My friend also really enjoyed the lamb. The baklava. It was s00000 TINY for $6. The baklava was for sure downsized...apparently from even the reviews 4 days ago!! The other pictures on here look nothing like the 3 baklavas we got to go. Next time, hard pass and irritating since I came here for the baklava and spanakopita which were both drastically changed. I get inflation, but raise the price and cut it the portions too...c'mon. The atmosphere: I was 1 ft from the front door and had to wear a coat the entire time during 30-degree weather. We had 8 people packed into the front window table. The thin people had to squeeze around to get back there. I can't complain too much since I requested they change our reservation from 6 to 8 in the afternoon the same day, which they obliged.I had the worse seat in the entire restaurant though. Service: Well, one thing I can say is that the service was very European. If you have been to Europe then you know. Understandably, they were initially busy. But, also seemed to be understaffed. The appetizer plates came out a couple of minutes after the saganaki. It took a long time to get an order, salads, and drink refills. We probably would have had an even larger bill if we could get refills on our alcoholic beverages. Initially, the waiter told us they could not split the checks being that it was too busy. We thought he was joking. We needed it split 3 ways. After we got the bill, the server offered to split the checks which took no time at all. Overall, I would go back, but I am in no rush.

We've found our new favorite Greek restaurant! Even if we didn't have friends in the St. Louis area, we'd start planning trips to eat here. The Greek Salad is wonderful. The lamb was so tender and savory that it melted on your tongue.

Attended a party in the back room. Our waiter was amazing. There were around 50 of us, and he could remember all of our names and drinks. Yummy food. Definitely recommend!

Excellent option for the price. I had the hummus and a gyro plate, both by the recommendation of the serving staff, and both tasted good, had good (if not large) portions, and were very affordable. A variety of other diners were eating a dish that the server would set aflame right before serving, which also looked very good, but I am unsure of wich dish this is. In all, will definitely return here whenever someone wants greek food.
