Really tasty place that is basically hidden. And soo affordable. Bagels are fresh and the service and owners are great. Lately I've been dropping by for a breakfast bagel, the one I got this morning prompted this overdue review - it was so damn good. I got a sesame seed bagel with bacon (asked for crispy) which comes with egg and cheese. Get there.
The husband and wife duo behind this bagel shop are so sweet and kind. Their bagels and croissants are made in house and are our favorite in sacramento. A solid item is their croissant breakfast sandwich. You should definitely stop in and try them out.
We love River City Bagels!!! Best spot for locally made bagels and one of the only spots where you can get a delicious filling breakfast sandwich for less than $5! What a tasty deal.
Great place, prices have increased dramatically, but still a good value, but I would definitely stop by more often if price was a bit cheaper across the board.
If you're on-the-go, check it out. So far everything I've tried here is good. Lots of choices on the menu for breakfast and lunch. Reasonable prices. Great customer service. Excellent neighborhood location. The breakfast burritos and salsa are delicious. Everyone I know who eats here has their favorites. The only thing I can't rave about is the coffee. If that's all you're in the mood for, stick with your other go-to cafe. A final note, I really appreciate that River City stayed open during the pandemic and did such a good job of providing a safe place to grab a bite. The owners are friendly and caring people. I highly recommend. Update: I stopped by last week to grab one of their delicious breakfast burritos and, oh no! they've stopped making their salsa! Another thing is that their bagels have shrunk. 😟
Got a couple open face lox bagels and a green tea smoothie. The lox tasted fresh and delicious on the Monterey cheese bagel! Not being a tea drinker..I was worried the green tea taste would be strong in a smoothie, but somehow they balanced it out perfectly!
I’ve been coming to River city bagels for about 10 years. Are usually get the bacon breakfast burrito and coffee for six bucks. Excellent food excellent service - I love this place.

This deli is located near my neighborhood like so many others along Broadway. I decided to try something new. I went in their small cute deli and off the menu ordered sandwich. The time, quality not to mention hospitality were up there. Very surprised! Treated customers like family. Food was great. I will be a regular now. Thank you!
