SF Chinatown quality. Great chow mein and egg rolls. Not on El Camino, but around the corner on Maryal. Worth finding!
Great food. The staff was nice as well. I would have gave 5 stars, however with the combination meal I got it was mostly rice and vegetables and not enough meat and it took quite a long time to get the food. I will say the flavors were on point and the food was delicious. I will definitely try again.
I haven't even tried my food yet and I can already give this place 5 stars. The owner is amazingly hospitable and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere is that of a dive bar in all of the best ways. I hope that after I try my food I can update this post and tell you all how wonderful it is.
Came here about 30 minutes before closing one night with a friend- The lady up front let us know but was very kind about it. We decided quickly so that we wouldn't be too much of a bother though. The food came out pretty quickly too, and it was bigger than we expected. We got beef chow mein and chicken of some sort. All very good, and reasonably priced too! My friend got a nosebleed though, and even though we were there right before closing, the lady who helped us earlier brought him more water and some extra paper towels- She seemed to hardly be troubled by us. We eventually finished before they locked their doors though, but didn't feel rushed at all. Great service and great food and a very nice price, would recommend!
This was our first time and went with a friend, it was close to closing time and they were busy, seemed to be short staffed as we only saw one lady who seated us, took our order, disappeared in the back off and on, brought our food in waves as she continued to seat others be the cashier etc. We where there for a while.
Food was hot and tasty, although shrimp was a little rubbery, we all enjoyed the food.
I was on the hunt for Cantonese Chinese food, and Yelp gave this place a 4+ stars with over 50 reviews. I forgot to specify that I wanted Cantonese which is probably why it tastes a little different? Don't get me wrong, what I ordered was ok, I've had both better and much worse. I was rather apprehensive when I pulled into the parking lot and it was empty. As was the restaurant, with the exception of 2 women who were ordering. A few people came in to pickup to go orders and they were excited to get home and eat. Yelp gave it 2 $'signs regarding the price, I however thought it was kind of expensive, although we did order everything al la cart and I had a beer while waiting. So maybe it wasn't expensive? I'll say this, it was 1000% better then Panda Express and the staff was very pleasant!
We had one of the family style meals, and it was excellent! The wor wonton soup was very flavorful, the appetizers were tasty, and my favorite dish was the honey walnut prawns, WOW! Delicious!! I will definitely be going back!
I called ahead and asked if they use MSG (Mono sodium glutamate) and the server said yes, but if you ask they won’t use it. I said great, my friend and I will be in shortly. When we got there we ordered and I specifically asked does this have MSG in it and we went through the menu to decide what we could eat that has no MSG. Long story short the food was delicious, however, four hours later I had a killer headache that lasted for 12 hours. I’m extremely sensitive to MSG and I am upset and sad that it was still in the preparation after explaining that I am extremely allergic to MSG! We had the Moo sho pork, walnut prawns and almond chicken...bummed!!
I've loved Lee's for a long time...since high school (class of 87). I think they have the best egg foo young in Sacramento. The family is friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy.
Food was good but we had to wait for at least 10 minutes after ordering before it was brought out. Only saw one server the whole time but she was very friendly. Place was clean and food was good and came in large portions.
