Blimpie. In the time of my youth my sandwich sojourn led only to Togo's and Erik's deli. At later days I wandered to the toasty temple of Quizno's, and compromised at the Mecca of mediocrity (Subway), but seventeen years ago I had never so much as considered bivouacking to Blimpie.
Yes, seventeen years ago at this exact location, my chubby adolescent fingers first gripped a soft, white Blimpie roll on the lawn of Sutter's fort. What I recall from that day has held true through the past two decades to my second and third visits over the past two days: "this tastes like a sandwich."
In all seriousness, this is a good sandwich at a reasonable price and convenient location. The guy behind the counter is personable and does a good job quickly. It isn't an artisanal, free-range, arugula and quinoa bowl, it's a classic sandwich. Enjoy it for what it is.
It's a sub shop. That said, the people are helpful, the bread is fresh and the ingredients are tasty. I also look to see if the place is clean, not just behind the counter, but throughout the place. It was clean, including the bathroom.
Good food! Owner is really friendly👍
They know how to make sandwiches delish!
First time to a Blimpie's. Sandwich was nice, but the cheese was rather artificial. Fair price. Would try again.
I had the Blimp foot long. Great sandwich and I had enough for two meals. Great service too.
I can't get enough of the sweet peppers! The Blimpies Best with extra sweet peppers is my go to and hits the spot every time.
Wow great subs!! Mike my man hooks it up everytime and always gives me a high five. Not often you find great subs n service like that!
Fast service, handled food with proper sanitation. Clean, well kept sandwich shop. Recommend!
