I'll be back, this place was a great lunch stop, great price for lunch downtown! The portions kept everyone happy and the flavors were solid!
Frequently patronize here and food is delicious, atmosphere is authentic Owner is frequently out talking with his customers…this is a great place to take your entire family.

Pleasantly surprised to find them open. It was a Tuesday night and the web said that they close at 5, but they are open until 7.
I really miss this place!!! My ex boyfriend's mom took .me to lunch here years ago. Delicious and the owners are wonderful!!! I live in another part of California now, but will never forget this place!!!
Oh Em Gee! DELICIOUS carne asada tacos!!!! Their chips and churros didn't do much for me... But them tacos!!!! Oh, them tacos!!!! I was STUFFED but I had to eat that last one! So good!!!! Their prices were good. The wait time was a bit long. But I think that's because they forgot about my order. The ordering process was confusing at first but I figured it out. Their salsas were good too! But don't you dare skip out on them tacos!!!! Ohhhhh, them tacos!!!

Delicious quesadillas! So bomb! This is a nice place to go to and they were super friendly. Their service was fast and freshly prepared. The salsas muy buenas! La picosa buen sabor! Im usually picky with mexican food because I can tell how they cook it and let me tell you its authentic! I highly recommend this restaurant! The inside is really cute and very homey. La musica tambien buen ambiente! Muchas gracias!
Great food at reasonable prices! Try the Birria quesadilla. It's yummy and HUGE! Hugo and his family are very friendly which make coming here enjoyable.

Cilantro's is my go-to for Mexican food downtown. I've tried several other Mexican restaurants in the area and Cilantro's is definitely the best. I have only found better tasting food in San Mateo (check out La Cumbre if you are there). And, Cilantro's food is the most affordable.
They have made a lot of updates to the restaurant over the last year or so and hired more servers and staff. If you came in the past and were turned off by long wait times, I recommend trying it out again.
This is obviously a family run business and they put their heart and soul into it.
