Anna's vegan is really tasty. It's best tasting vegan restaurant in sac area by far. The service was good too. My friend and I got there really close to closing time and the server did not rush us. The food was a good amount to share. I had their beef chow mein and shared the sweet and sour nuggets and teriyaki delight with my friend. The chow mein was tasty, the sweet and sour nuggets were good, but the teriyaki delight was a bit salty. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. We also tried the golden drumsticks, those were good, we only wished we had more lol. My only concern with this place is the location. It's in a sketchy area. My friend and I went for dinner and felt a little uncomfortable about the area. There was a lot of cops passing by and some weirdos walking around. I would come back, but would probably order to go. For the amount of food we probably would've paid more elsewhere. Our bill was less than $30 total. We were thinking the food was going to be okay because of their price, but we were obviously wrong.

Veggies Cooked to Perfection!. On a recent trip to Sacramento, I made my way to Au Lac Veggie restaurant to check out their vegan Asian fusion fare. Vibrant aromas wafted into the parking lot from the kitchen-a good sign, for sure. Au Lac is simple and casual, and the prices are startlingly inexpensive, with entrees ranging in price from $5.95 to $7.95-about what you'd expect to pay for street food, not at a restaurant! Most of the dishes rely on soy-based meat analogues, (although there are dishes made with only vegetables). I wanted to avoid anything deep-fried (Orange Veggie Chicken Nugget sounded enticing), so I decided to try the Veggie Chicken Vegetables (#29).
The sauce was delicately seasoned and flavorful and the texture of the mock chicken was surprisingly pleasant. Sadly, I often find the food at Asian vegetarian restaurants to be drenched in salt and oil, but joyfully, this dish was neither excessively oily nor salty. It was quite delicious and left me feeling healthfully satisfied.
My dining companion ordered Veggie Beef Broccoli. I didn't taste her dish, but the broccoli looked as though it was cooked to perfection, and I could only imagine that the mock beef was as good as the chicken. I look forward to my next visit to Sacramento and another great meal at Au Lac Veggie.
I've visited Au Lac three times so far, and I haven't been dissapointed. The veggies are always fresh, the food is hot, and the staff is very nice. I recommend trying their chicken salad, because they use a different "chicken" product than the entrees. The sauce is light, and complements the vegetables instead of covering up the flavor. They serve both white and brown rice.
Delicious. I've been there twice, and had a few different things.They have veggie meat which actually looks like meat and actually tastes good.
But to me their chinese hot & sour soup is amazingly delicious.
Also, it's really cheap, and the service is pretty good.
I had lunch last week at Anna's Vegan Cafe, the newest iteration of a vegan restaurant that's been on Stockton Boulevard for several years. Previously, it was Loving Hut, and before that, it was Au Lac Veggie. Anna's Vegan Cafe offers most, if not all, of the same dishes that were on the Loving Hut menu, and it's a good, reliable place to go when you're tired of trying to find something to eat at the local non-vegan restaurants. I ordered the Broccoli Tofu lunch special, which came with the soup of the day (veggie noodle), white rice, and a crispy roll. I also ordered the Fried Tofu appetizer, since I didn't have to worry about whether any non-vegan products had been cooked in the same oil. It was a pleasant experience. The owners provides friendly and quick service. Ocean pot fish and Au lac was so good, and in generous portion. We will be back!

Great little vegan place! We had Mongolian delight, Mongolian wonder, and sweet and sour nuggets with vegetable fried rice and fried egg rolls. All was delicious; I highly recommend the eggrolls. The fried rice was exactly what we needed - broccoli, carrots, sliced seitan / soy protein bits, beans, and peas.
The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, but we got there off times. I would like to try their lunch specials!

Amazing food such a good price. The man at the front was so sweet and you can tell they build relationships with customers, so many regulars came in while we waited for food, everyone seemed to love the place! Everything was amazing and we will be coming back so many times ❤️
Good quick service and great vegan food! We ordered the 'chicken' drumstick which is a fried soy drumstick. We also ordered the Mongolian 'beef', orange 'chicken,' pineapple fried rice, and Au Lac which is a large piece of soy 'meat' sliced with sauce and salad. All the dishes were delicious and had distinct different flavors. My only complaint was the batter on the orange chicken was very thick, I usually like it thinner (I've had some great orange soy chicken in SF so I've been spoiled!). Would definitely come back, the prices are very reasonable as well!
Fantastic. Adjusting to a vegan diet is no easy task, but an amazing vegan restaurant certainly helps. Thank you for putting so much thought into the food you serve. Always a wonderful experience.
I was there at 1pm and was the only diner. The gentleman that took my order was kind and the food was delicious. I could serve this to my husband and he wouldn't know it was vegan. And a generous portion too. Perfect for a late night snack 👌
Rustic gem with good Chinese-American vegan fare (doesn't seem to come up in Google maps when one searches for Chinese-- found by happy accident). This place is what I lovingly call a "mock meat joint" but which also has vegetable entrees. On par with Noble Vegetarian and Vegan Deadly Sins, just in a different part of town. Rice is not included with entrees, something I miss from East Coast dining. Food and tables are very clean, but restroom could use a "woman's touch." Service is great, they are *trying.* Lunch specials on select weekdays. Prices are higher than old pre-pandemic photos from old reviews would indicate, still worth a try if you're in the area.
Home cooked vegan food! Try the #41 clay pot (extra spicy if you can hang🔥). All the menu items are absolutely delicious with no shortage of flavor in every bite and each meal is portioned to perfection 💯 You will not go home hungry!
