So this restaurant captured my attention with all the cool blow ups they put on the roof of their restaurant and fancy outdoor decorations. I finaly tried it a week ago. Entering the restaurant we walked through really nicelly light and decoraded entry which was nice. Then we walked through the door and stood on the line to order. I had read a prior review and was prepared that we had to order when you arrive at the counter. The indoor had a Koi pond and some decorations on the shelves that needed some dusting. Not crazy about how they handle their ordering. The atmosphere is very very casual, so do not try to impress a fancy date here. At the end, the food was good and priced very well. Next time I will have to try their drinks at the bar which you have to order seperately from your order at the counter.
Came with a group of friends after some drinks at around 9 PM on a Saturday. There was a line out the door just to place orders for food. Once we sat, the food came as they were prepared and was ready about 30 minutes apart from the first to last dish.
Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered a hainan chicken and Thai tea to share. The rice was delicious as was the sauce but unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry. The Thai tea was quite sweet but hit the spot for us
Ambience: 4/5 - had Halloween decorations up still and was fun to sit around and enjoy
Service: 4/5 - lots of customers and potentially not enough servers. They seemed extremely overwhelmed but were nice and helpful. They did get confused on orders between us and the table next to us.
Value for price: 5/5 - large serving of food and pretty good in taste
From eating dinner here with my family as a kid... to drinking here with friends at the bar? I never expected this RH staple to have such versatility.
My friend recommended this place since they have a CRAZY happy hour menu at the bar! Most cocktails, bombs, and shots are just 2 for $10! SUCH A GOOD DEAL. Since the pandemic started, they have been doing happy hour all day, everyday! You can also take cocktails home as takeout. I recommed the Hello Kitty, Green Tea shots, and the Thai Tea Twister (it's strong!).
Food wise, not bad! I definitely enjoyed the food a lot more when I was a kid... The portions are big! Two of my friends even shared a pad see eaw. The beef is really chewy, so I recommend getting another protein when you order noodles or fried rice. Maybe pork or chicken instead. Due to COVID, all other dining ware is plastic and disposable. Besides the drinks from the bar... they give you paper plates, cups, utensils, etc. You basically have takeout containers, but in a restaurant setting. Pretty strange, but I guess it's a efficient if you have leftovers? LOL
Lunch specials Chicken Mint Leaf and Thai BBQ Chicken Hainan Rice are delicious and prices are reasonable.
I like Pad See Ew dish the most! Highly recommend for it. The Tom Yum Soup is a little bit sweet.
