I have been here twice and loved both experiences. The drink menu is on point and the menu options are changing with the season so I plan to visit frequently. They are also able to accommodate dietary limitations, which is a huge plus. I can't wait to visit again. Farm to Table food with a creative twist provided by Chef Adam (love this man's food).

Popped in for a quick bite and drink at the bar. Had the Beef Tartare which was excellent and Buffalo Snail's (weren't on menu) which Owner Derek had the chef make us because he loved them and thought we would too. He was correct. Get them if they make it into the actual menu.

Great experience at Scuffletown Garden. Our table had several appetizers, several desserts to sample from besides our entrees and they were excellent. The cocktail roulette was very fun. All in all a great place that I recommend people check out.

Bright and airy atmosphere, just the right number of choices on a relatively compact menu, cordial service, and food that is appealing to the eye and palate made for a wonderful first experience at Scuffletown Garden Restaurant and Bar. My cheeseburger was well balanced wth a creative addition of a tasty mushroom aioli that didn't overpower the other flavours. Please see my photos.

Found this place by happenstance looking for another restaurant and we found a great little gem in the heart of Richmond. Food was flavorful, balanced, and service was excellent. Pricing was exactly where it should be. Kudos to the owner on a great restaurant. Hope to see you our next trip through. (Had Catfish and Grits yummy)

Scuffletown Garden has quickly become one of our favorite eateries in Richmond. The restaurant is in a lovely space with great natural lighting and pleasant greenery all around. The service is outstanding and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and excited about the food. But the dishes themselves are the best part. The menu is concise and everything we've had—from the salads to the beet pasta to the sirloin—has been outstanding. Highly recommended.

They are newly opened and clearly working through some of the kinks, but Scuffletown Gardens has promise. But, don't expect the Strawberry Street Cafe simply rebranded. The new owners have their own vision. The menu is smaller than its predecessor, and a little more elevated ... but a burger is still on the dinner menu, and mine was very tasty. Be certain to check the chalkboard for daily specials (our waitress failed to bring them to our attention).

I’ve visited Scuffletown at least three times over the past few months. It NEVER disappoints. The staff has been extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgable about the items on the menu. This place is a gem in the Fan and I look forward to being a long-time patron. My favorite thing on the menu has been the pork, but the burger is incredible! I really enjoy the atmosphere and the innovative entrees.

Great food, and great happy hour specials. If you're up for trying new things, their $6 happy hour cocktail roulette is a perfect way to try new drink. I ordered the beef shank tagliatelle which was incredibly delicious. Also, their curry calaspara rice is absolutely amazing and I could eat it for the rest of my life.

I have been to Scuffletown a few times now and what's clear is that they have delicious food and great drinks. If you haven't seen the new design yet, definitely check it out. It's really bright and airy and there's usually a full bar. I have been for happy hour twice and the roulette wheel full of classic cocktails like French 75, Vieux Carrie, and Gin Ricky for $6 a spin is great plus half of draft beer and a great wine selection. I've been for lunch and dinner here and I really applaud them on their side dishes most of all. The crispy callasparra rice with coconut curry sauce is amazing and I highly recommend the three bean salad with roasted and pickled beans, farro with a strangely delicious blueberry miso dressing, and the kale braised in mushroom broth. For lunch I had a delicious ham and cheese sandwich with country ham and bread made in house which came with a side. For dinner my girlfriend had the taggliatelle with beats and beef shank and it was really fresh and flavorful. Some of the other stuff they're still figuring out but they use different cuts of beef and pork every night so if you don't like pork belly they might have pork chops the next night. I definitely recommend checking this place out, getting one of their cocktails, and munching on some food.
