The Mediterranean Bakery is one of the best places to eat and shop for Arabic and Middle-Eastern food. The quality is excellent and the taste is exquisite in addition to the variety offered. I highly recommend it.
Love this place and have been coming here for years. Sometimes I crave it, but it is not an area I am in much lately, or I would definitely go more often. The food is fantastic and reasonable. I used to live in Turkey, so love that I can find Several middle eastern products here that I love. Best tabouli and hummus in RVA!
Great selection of goods, awesome staff and their hot foods and other cold hummus/ to go options are all amazing. I love their pita chips and during my last trip, they were making a fresh batch. They were so nice accommodating and gave me a bag of the fresh batch bagged right in front of me. They made my day!
Stopped in this afternoon, my first time, on a recommendation from my older brother. Ordered the following for take home: falafel, Hummus, spinach and feta pie, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, and two types of baklava. Was very impressed, everything I ordered was delicious. My favorites are the baba ghanoush and spinach and feta pie, tabouleh, and the baklava. Baba ghanoush had a deep lovely flavor. The tabouleh was fresh and bright and one of the best I have had. The baklava, awesome, just come try some for yourself and see! I will be back for more.

This place is always a joy to visit. Well stocked and authentic selection of Arabic and middle eastern groceries. The deli selection is great and food is tasty. No place to eat inside at this time but picnic tables have been set up outside. This is my go to for Lebanese and middle eastern ingredients and food needs. Been a customer sporadically over 20 years and they haven’t disappointed yet.
5 out of 5 food and service!
My wife and I moved from LA to the RVA area, and we’ve looking for authentic Mediterranean food and we found it! The baklava was the best I’ve ever had!
They are the absolute best of the best. I miss being able to eat there. They are using the space for retail. Wish they could carve out a small space for a table to eat there. I will note their prices have skyrocketed. That limits how often I can shop there.
Visited this place for the first time last weekend.. we had chicken Kebab and chicken samosa combo for lunch and baklava’s .. the person who took the order patiently explained the food items they have and helped with the order.. Both chicken samosa and kebab were tasty.. Will come back to try other items.. :)
Three of us enjoyed lunch at a picnic table. After our meal, we visited the market and spent a small fortune on loose tea, stuffed grape leaves, olives, couscous, and several other items we’ll be enjoying for many weeks.
I really love falafel and this was so light and airy inside, crispy on the outside. Excellent and kind service. Cool little grocery there as well. Will be back for the falafel again!
I’ve been going here forever… well I hadn’t been a couple years but let me tell you… they have the best baba ganoush ever!!! Today I picked some up for me and my dad and it was totally perfect!!! Also it’s really nice inside and they’re super nice here!!
They have some good food options at the front of their bakery/ deli. From triangle shaped patties filled with cheese, meat or veggies, to rice, shish kabobs, pizzas and more.
Decided to get a veggie covered pizza just as it came out. Veggie pizza had a generous amount of veggies on it and great tasting cheese. It was surprisingly tasty.
I also like their selection of sweets in the deli. They have this tasty chocolate covered jelly candy that is yummy. It’s called ‘elit dark chocolate covered sour cherry visne.’
If you want to try a Mediterranean deli that has a pretty nice selection of prepared food for takeout, to snacks, juice, soda and dry goods— this place is worth checking out.
