I enjoy this venue however they have a mouse or rat problem big time. We were at a show a few weekends ago and I watched one giant rodent run past my feet into their kitchen.... very alarming. I brought it up to staff they didn't seem too worried. I hope they are aware but I wouldn't eat anything from here...
I do enjoy the shows and venue is really nice how it is split off and they have the outside area and you can go in and out as you please !
really nice spot to see cool bands, the happy hour has great deals ($4 beer), cheese fries and garlic aioli really hit the spot
The Camel is one of my favorite spots in Richmond for a drink and a good time. They have a great half off all beer happy hour, which is perfect for trying out their wide variety of brews. I love hanging out on their patio, which is cozy and relaxing. I also have been to a concert here and it was fun, but a bit crowded. The music was loud and lively, and the crowd was energetic and friendly. I haven’t had any food here, but I hear it’s great. They have a menu that features burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. The Camel is a great place to go for a casual night out with friends or a date. It’s got a cool vibe and a friendly staff. I definitely recommend it! 🍻🎶🐪
Attended the camel for a special event. It was my first time there. Even on a Monday the staff were kind and attentive while dealing with around a hundred plus people. Great selection of local beers that seem to be rotated. Heavy on the IPA. Amped up bar food for the menu. Flyers were posted for upcoming concerts as they seem to have live music fairly often.
Nice genuine dive bar. Small but nice the sound guy is top notch.. Was a wonderful time watching a great band.
Great southwestern burger, a little spicy and a lot of flavor. Beer selection is plenty and the service was great too
Absolutely love the Camel. The people, the music, the drinks! Maybe the last one a bit too much. I love the artichoke fritters, but how about throwing a couple beyond burgers in the freezer so us vegan folk can get a meal? Thanks in advance for considering!
Went for a small concert. Didn't get any food Doesn't have a lot of parking, but it's still a great spot. All parking is on the street.
This is a bar that supports live local music. The beer is cold. The burger I had was fantastic. Hearing local musicians, even better.
The Camel is one of the last remaining bastions of true live music in Virginia. It's funky, intimate, and very accessible to music lovers. They also have an excellent kitchen and a wide selection of beer, wine, and booze..
