We celebrated my son's 49th birthday! We had a wonderful time with a family of 7 joining us. The chef was very friendly and told stories relating to our discussions. As he cooked he told jokes and involved the 5 children (ranging from 11 to 2). The kids laughed and joked with him. He was funny and very skilled with his cooking utensils. The food tasted wonderful.
Great food and entertainment as chef prepared our meal. Fast service and great customer service. Fresh food and drinks were good, too! Huge servings worth the price!
I've been here a few times and really enjoyed it, but last night was fantastic!
Masa was the chef at our table and he was great! The food he made was amazing and he was such a great entertainer.
We loved our visit. The attendants, servers, and chefs are amazing. We went to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday. It was a special treat! Some of the unique things are that everyone is served at the same time, you watch the cook prepare the meal, the cook interacts with everyone. They provide samples and entertain the young and old. Our 3 year old grandson kept saying, "this is wild, this is some fun!". Imagine going to dinner and everyone is having a good time. This is a special place.
I couldn't give 5 stars only because the service was lacking alot. I dont know if they are shirt staffed or what but they were slow and forgetful.
We had a party of 8, they had very strict rules about not seating you until your entire party has arrived. They sat us down with 2 strangers, then got us back up since we were waiting in one person.
We had to wait for a bit then once we were finally seated, it took forever to get our drink orders in, then another ling wait to give our orders. It was annoying cause the place wasn't full, they just didnt have enough staff.
When the chef finally came out, he dud the usual show cooking and entertaining us. Meanwhile, I git my drink, white sangria. I expected a glass of sangria with big chunks of fruit, but i got shredded kiwi at the bottom instead. Not sure why. It ruined the taste of the sangria for me.
The entrees were good, its always fun watching him make everything. I had hibachi shrimp & mushrooms. It was delicious.
It saved the night even though service wasnt great.
When I arrived I thought this establishment was out of business due to the upkeep of the parking lot. Once you get past the weeds and branches, you’re greeted by “oh this is cute, I see what you’re going for.” The waiting area was beautifully decorated. The Koi were doing their thing and the kids loved them. I even enjoyed the scene on the ceiling. The sushi bar wasn’t available when I was there (Sunday 1pm). It’s your typical hibachi spot. The show was for the kids and it was ok. Great food. Great customer service. Will I return? Eh. I’m good.
We got a last-minute New Year's Eve reservation for 4 o'clock.
There was a comfortable ambiance. Service was efficient without rushing us. Our Chef was a bit of a prankster, giving us a good show.
We eat at Hibachi restaurants fairly often. Kabuto's shrimp, vegetables, salad and soup were excellent. Their fried rice and filet were not as good as we've had elsewhere.
We'd definitely go back. It was a nice dinner to lead into the New Year.
Update 9/16/2022: it was Mimi's birthday and she wanted to come here! We got a great meal, great service, and a great show. Our server, Manuela, went above and beyond, befriending our 7 year old.
One of our best dining experiences in memory!
All of our food was hot, tasty and cooked perfectly! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it was kind of a long wait at the table for the chef to come and start cooking especially since we had a reservation. Good thing we had the soup and salad served to hold us until the chef showed up. Other than the long wait i would highly recommend for a fun family dinner.
I remember when this was like the only hibachi place in town and it was always packed! Has been quite a while since I've been here, but the kids and I were out tonight and they wanted some Japanese Hibachi. I think this place burned down years ago, but it looks really nice inside. Still a lot of space and tables. They have a hibachi side and then they also just have a sushi bar. My kids loved the display when you enter of all the things Japanese related and the Samurai Armor. They have a large Koi tank in the entry as well. They still require masks, even with the mandate gone and will check your temperature. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a fun chef, he joked with us quite a bit, hid skills may have been a little off, but he made up for it with his personality. Everything was cooked just right. My daughter and I got medium rare steak and my son got salmon. I got a few rolls of sushi as well. They tasted good, but I thought they were a little on the small size. Quality of everything seemed very good too. Once finished I asked the kids if they liked this place or the other Hibachi place better that we've been to the last few times and they both said Kabuto's. So this might become our go to Japanese Steak House again.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. My sons took me for my birthday. They enjoyed it as well. It is a bit pricey so bring your wallet.
