I have been to several sushi 🍣 places around Richmond, and Sushi Box is THE BEST! Their rolls are a great size and they don’t skimp you out. This place does not smell fishy at all like other places. It’s always super clean. The servers are friendly and often remember you and your favorite orders when you become a regular. You can’t beat their lunch specials either! Fav rolls are the energy roll and spicy crunch roll. For under $9 you can get soup, salad and 2 rolls. Their sushi is so high quantity and tasty. It’s my favorite and I can’t recommend this cute, clean, and delicious restaurant more. Whenever I take friends here they always leave with Sushi Box being their new fav sushi place in town!
Lovely, quiet atmosphere. Yummy food and its NOT just sushi. We don't eat fish, but love Japanese food. This is a great find!!
Really great tasting sushi and exceptionally clean restaurant. Been a few times and $40+ is a little expensive for lunch for two, but then again I don't want any "discount" sushi, ha!
Good spot for lunch. I liked the lunch specials they had. I went in with the intent to get sushi but they had a variety of things and i was glad they offered lunch specials that you can mix and match. Each portion were just enough to get a taste.

Update 2017
The improvement is delightful. They are now have better kids friendly setup. Generous portion, and kindly greeting waitresses served us well. Foods, especially raw fishes are fresh this time. I enjoyed the soft shell crab a lot.

Tried Egg Roll, Dynamite Roll, Hand Roll Trio, Sashimi combo, and Uni Sashimi. Egg roll is the only one acceptable. Sashimi was not fresh at all. The Dynamite Roll is really terrible. I couldn't even find the scallop that mentioned on their menu. Service is terrible and this restaurant is definitely not kids friendly. I cannot believe they do not offer any kind of juice?! They do offer sake though. Overall, just a bit better than Osaka. They are even worse than Sushi O, which I gave them 3 stars.

I've been stopping in Sushi Box probably since the Costco opened down the road I don't know how many years ago and the food has been consistently good. The service can vary a little bit but, it has never been bad. This is a great place to stop for tasty reasonably priced sushi. Love the ginger dressing.
My husband and I have been. Us timers for over six years. Because of the size of our family our date nights were always take out. Today, we made a reservation to dine in as a family to celebrate our daughters birthday! They were so excited to finally meet our family. They were so kind and thoughtful and the food is always amazing! Two thumbs up for the short ribs, Salmon Tempura Roll and the best ginger dressing I’ve ever had!! Please go and support this business!! We need them to be around for the duration so we can celebrate all of our birthdays here!! We love this place and the family too!
