This is a fantastic place to go at the price point. Food, drinks, dessert, staff are all too notch. Atmosphere is the biggest lacking feature but won't deter us from coming again. TLDR: The entrees are focused on the protein, with sometimes fun complex sides accompanying them. Sweet and savory are hallmarks. Save room for dessert and try the mixed drinks. 2 apps. 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 3 drinks, for $200. Appetizers: We enjoyed the fried oysters. Cheesy goodness tops them. They give you five so be prepared to fight over the last. The fries called to me as well. An enjoyable dish, with spicy aioli, right amount of salt to prep is for the entrees. Food: The seafood de jur was very savory. The artic char and brussel sprouts were very hearty. Paired with ghost cheese and cherries their creamy sweetness was a nice contrast. A sweet potato puree smoothed them together nicely. I had the seafood cioppino. Meat lovers will rejoice at this warm savory dish. Adding a sausage, along with the peppers and onions added a lot of depth to the pescetarian proteins. My favorite was the octopus. Drinks: As a lover of Whiskey sours I tried their interpretation which used aquafaba, port, and rosemary in addition to Whiskey and lemon. A very complex and refreshing drink. A vegan option foam (aquafaba) have the standard smoothness while the lemon and Port first hit your palette. It has a wonderfully long finish given by the rosemary. Their wine by the glass is a nice selection too. Pinot Noir was a good representation of the varietal. Dessert: If you don't leave room for dessert here, you're what's wrong with this country. The gingerbread creme brulee was a winner. We also really enjoyed the bread pudding. Warm and creamy, it's topped with cherries. Candied pecans and cream to the side. I was Peter from "The Great" enjoying a dish when eating it! Staff: Attentive, knowledgeable, and precise. They are awesome here. So glad to see the store put in an automatic 18% gratuity. Atmosphere: This is the only lacking point. Seating, style, and decor are all very nice. Seating lacks privacy and is a bit loud. Some well hidden sound panels are needed in my opinion. It won't stop us from coming again though.

Freaking spectacular! Original innovative flavor combinations. Attention to detail: from the height of the walls, to the plating, to the hand blown glass lighting fixtures. The doors open up to the lanai bringing the fresh outside air in the restaurant. What a beautiful touch. The starters were amazing the lumpia Shanghai could have been made by my Lola (if she were a world class chef) the chickpea fritters were a welcome surprise as was the divine tomato jam that came with it. The Brussels sprouts were salty and sweet and I could not stop eating them. As a result I had the poke appetizer for dinner while my dining partner had the BBQ miso chicken. When asking the chef how it came out so moist and crispy he said it was the result of a six hour process. It sure tasted like it. The poke melted in my mouth. We completed the meal with the bread pudding that was out of this world. A world class meal.

A fantastic restaurant in Richmond! I have been to Perch multiple times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere, hospitality, and service is always excellent. On every visit I try to order something new and yesterday evening was no different. It was the first time trying pizza and hot dog with kimchi and the flavors were amazing together. Beth the bar manager was awesome and it was also very nice of the owner Mike to come by and chat with us too!

Email, text and calls as needed and done with ease to make sure my brothers dinner was perfect! She was on top of everything and made sure it went off perfectly! Joey the server was AMAZING he served 35 people with little help and done so with ease! His recommendations and knowledge of the menu was outstanding! The food was fantastic and each dish came out perfectly! I can’t thank this whole crew enough for helping us have the most perfect celebration for my brothers rehearsal dinner! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Wonderful atmosphere with great lighting! Staff and service worthy of five star! Food tasted amazing and paired very nicely with the cocktails. Honest Review: I visited with my gf. We reserved a table at 7:45pm and were seated with ease. Prior to ordering, we're greeted and immediately given a complementary appetizer. We enjoyed 2 small plates/ 2 Entrees / 3 cocktails. & Dessert 2 Small Plates: Furikake Fries & Poke Bowl As shown below, both were considered a small plate, bur had a moderate serving size. The Furikake Seasoning was very tasty and the fries were well fried. The poke bowl tasted very fresh and was served with pinapple and seaweed. 2 Entrees: The scallops & While fried Fish The scallops were cooks closed to perfection. It wasn't rubbery nor undercooked. It almosted melted in your mouth and was served nice with rice noodles and various veggies. The Fried Fish was seared perfectly and seasoned well. It was served with sliced veggies and rice. Both paired nicely with he Fish. The fish itself was delicate and tasted very good with the sauce provided. Dessert: Tres Leches Bread Pudding A MUST! It wasn't too rich and the roasted pecans were delicious! Cocktails: Old Fashioned / Apartment Story Spritz / Dimension Door I myself had the Old Fashioned Cocktail. The mix itself was perfect and was served with an orange peel (classic!) My gf enjoyed her Apartment Story and her Dimension Door. FYI: The dimension Door is served with a while basil leaf. If you can't stand strong leaf flavors I wouldn't recommend. But my gf enjoyed the Basil and its refreshing taste. Also the restaurant does have a Service fee (18%). Total Cost: $ 206 Overall 5/5 would come again! Thank you The Perch!!

I made a reservation for 11:15am on a Saturday for brunch, and arrived a bit early. There were several available tables indoors and on the patio, so I’m not sure a reservation was necessary but it never hurts. The restaurant itself is beautiful. You enter through a giant wooden door at the front into a room full of natural light, accented by plants and modern decor. The service was great and the staff personable. As far as the food goes, it was decent overall. I ordered the “Stuffed French Toast,” but it wasn’t really “stuffed.” The “filling” is a purple yam sauce called ube, and it is slathered in between the slices of the otherwise standard French toast. This filling looks like the runny frosting you’d see on a donut, and there was a substantial amount of it poured in—too much, in my opinion, as it tasted overly sweet and gave me that “I’ve eaten too many cupcakes and I might be sick” feeling. And, because it’s bright purple, you feel a bit like a kid who put too much green ketchup on your plate and now have to live with the consequences because it would be wasteful to not eat your meal. I would’ve preferred the food be hotter, as the French toast and syrup were room temperature. The person I was with ordered the Chesapeake Omelette, and he raved about how good it was. Overall, I would rate Perch well but it isn’t going to become my new brunch spot. I’ll try a few other items in the future.

This was a favorite of ours pre-covid and we are so thrilled that Mike and his partner had the savvy and resilience to persevere. The food is exceptional and creative; cocktails are unique and tasty; service is at white-glove level and there isn't a bad seat in the house. We love Perch!❤️

Amazing service! Sunday Brunch was a wonderful experience. Brought a group of friends to celebrate one of their birthday. The chef cooked an awesome non menu item special for her and it was incredible. Everyone else ordered from the menu and the food did not disappoint. Live tiki lounge music was great and relaxing. Great time!

Wanted to find a new place to try on a beautiful day, a friend recommended Perch. There was only outdoor seating in some tents due to Covid. Wasn't to busy and got seated pretty quick. Staff was extremely friendly. They have all lot of unique items. It was really hard to figure out what we wanted. Lots of Phillipino infused dishes. We ended up getting the Pu Pu platter, with a side of garlic fried rice, kimchi and bowl of Butternut Squash soup. Everything was pretty tasty, wish the kimchi was a little spicier, but it was flavorful. Overall a good experience and would go again.
