It was a cloudy and warm Sunday morning. We were in the mood for a family breakfast, so decided to come to this Popular Raleigh staple. Upon arrival we were greeted with a huge line of 20+ families. So we decided to just place an order on our phone for pickup. Said 20 min it would be ready, but took closer to 40. Not complaining as the place was slammed so reasonable to wait. The food itself is very good, but the amount of praise this place gets, not “that” good. But definitely a 4 out of 5. The LOX on an everything bagel is the route I went and glad I did because it was delicious. They also have great coffee options, the nitro cold brew and cappuccino is what we went with and both great.

One of the best bacon egg and cheese bagels I’ve had in a while. Not NY style, but if you appreciate wood fired food, this is a must. The everything bagel was seasoned perfectly. You get a huge amount of seasoning in every bite. I love that the cheese is scrambled and the bacon was the perfect texture. When I’m feeling a bit more adventurous, I’ll go back for some of their menu sandwiches that looked phenomenal. I also got an iced vanilla latte which I thought had great flavor! Definitely recommend.

I LOVE bagels! This was my first time at a designated bagel shop and I was so excited! The woman who took my order was so kind and patient and suggested the avocado bagel and it was so amazing!

Benchwarmers is arguably better than many New York bagel shops. I’d say it’s the bagels but reality is that it’s the service. They care. They know what they are doing and know how to satisfy people from far and wide. I’ve been meeting with my mentor of 3 years there every Wednesday morning and it’s a truly sacred place for us. The bagels are amazing and the community there is unlike any other in Raleigh. They are able to handle massive lines and still deliver with authenticity. Love this place so much and thankful for it!

Overall, pretty good. Got a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything. The bagel was very soft and wet despite being toasted. The bacon was crispy and delicious with excellent flavor. The eggs were good flavor, but the choice to use Duke’s Mayo was a little weird and probably what made the whole thing so wet. The chai latte was very weak and watery I wouldn’t recommend it. Unfortunately we went on a Sunday morning and their online ordering system wouldn’t let us order ahead so we waited in a very long line. The staff was good about moving the line quickly, but the bagels weren’t good enough that I’d really want to wait in a long line for them ever again.

Benchwarmers Bagels, located in the heart of Raleigh, NC, is an absolute standout. It is a favorite among both locals and visitors. In fact, we take all of our out-of-town guests here! Their impeccable service (especially the management), delectable bagels with a range of creative spreads, and the vibrant atmosphere within a food hall create an extraordinary laid-back dining experience. The warm and welcoming staff, coupled with the sheer quality and variety of their bagels, make each visit an unforgettable meal. Benchwarmers Bagels is a true gem in Raleigh, where every bite is a taste of perfection, and the atmosphere is filled with a communal, energetic vibe. Don't miss the chance to indulge in their bagels and coffee and enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Minus the 40 minute wait for a bagel sandwich and a coffee, this place is great! The everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese was phenomenal! Easily in the top 5 best I've ever had! Butterscotch latte was fantastic too! Staff was friendly, but they definitely need more help and a better system to expedite. I saw so many people coming in and seeing the line and then leaving, and it kills me to see small businesses loosing sales because they didn't grow with the demand they created.

We've been going to Benchwarmer's since they opened up several years ago, and it is one of our favorite spots in Raleigh! I always recommend getting one of their amazing and fun bagel sandwiches as opposed to just a bagel with cream cheese (even though these are still great; try the maitre d'hotel cream cheese!). Look for their weekend specials as they are usually interesting and delicious. My favorite constant sandwhich on their menu is the #5 with smoked fish spread, pickled veggies, potatoe chips, and roe on a za'atar and sea salt bagel. The za'atar is hands down their best bagel and it is criminally underrated! Their coffee/espresso is great and their rotating 5th Quarter Cappuccino is my go-to. If you get there early enough, definitely get a Cardamom Bun or two; they are sooo good. A couple of disclaimers: These are not New York style bagels so don't expect that, but they are still delicious. There is almost always a line to order on weekend mornings, so make sure you plan accordingly (took about 25 minutes to order and receive my bagels around 11:30am on a Sat). They are definitely worth the wait! They do sicilian style pizza on Thurs-Sat night and they are super good. It may seem expensive, but it ends up being a lot more pizza than you'd think. Again, try the weekend special!

Benchwarmers is the best!! The staff, the food, the coffee - all so good. The staff really cares about their food and their customers and you can see that right when you step inside Transfer food hall. I love the creativity in the bagel sandwiches and the cream cheese flavors. The chef always does a great job! The staff makes sure to help you with your choices and they move the line along quickly. I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting the general manager multiple times and she is awesome! I always recommend to my friends and family coming to town!
