I visited Shuckers in Raleigh for the first time last weekend during Triangle Restaurant Week, and found it to be a delightfully delicious experience. The atmosphere is classy and modern, and the staff, including my waitress, was upbeat, fun, and chatty. The hushpuppies before my meal were addicting -- my boyfriend and I ate two baskets of them. During Restaurant Week, Shuckers offered a three-course lunch meal for $15, and this is what drew us in, along with great reviews and ratings. For my first course, I enjoyed a Caesar salad, for course two I ate up my crab cake sandwich, which was topped with tomato and basil and served with fries and coleslaw, and for course three, I chose a heavenly chocolate cheesecake. On top of this tastiness, the staff was very attentive and cheery, and this restaurant is in a fantastic location -- there's plenty to explore in the area. Five stars all the way!
Had such a great meal! Everything from cocktails to dinner was delicious. The Thermidor oysters are a must-try. The live music was nice. The bar area was crowded but that's to be expected for Saturday night on Glenwood.
Absolutely AMAZING food!!!!! Great deal for the price, Robin's dedication to her craft is beyond reproach, she has been one of the most friendly and knowledgeable servers we have ever had. The GM Chad definitely knows how to run a restaurant!!
five thumbs up! this was an awesome place to eat. service was great as well as the cocktails and the food was AMAZING! best place to get a nice juicy ribeye steak cooked to your liking and there bread pudding is hands down the best in the city
Solid, reasonably priced seafood. Nice atmosphere, friendly service- and super fast if it's a slow night like it was when we went. Recommended!
Excellent food! Service a little slow but not enough to ruin the experience.
Great service, great oysters, too bad it's now event space.
