One of the best places for authentic Italian food in Raleigh! Awesome staff, food made fresh from scratch for a leisurely dining experience that is always most enjoyable. There last night for the 2 year anniversary of the new owner Vito Parisi who has retained the quality of the last 17 years. Carolina Hurricanes in attendance, Though my favorite dish Pollo Diana Anna was taken off the menu they'll still make it for you...
We go to Nina’s often, one our favorite places to eat. Everything is always delicious and half price wine on Tuesdays is a treat!
Still fabulous after all these years. Friendly atmosphere, fabulous food, great wines.
Unbelievable. As good as you could want from a NY/NJ Italian restaurant. If you want something not on the menu, they can probably do it. My favorite is the veal milanese over a bed of fresh greens. The mussels are also excellent, My wife loves the canneloni and the fresh bread with dipping sauce. If you don't love it, please tell me where you go for better within 15 miles. Great job Nina.
I work for Nina's. We do not have a 3 course meal for $25.00
Romantic! - Mon& Tue. Great Italian, Superb service & wonderfully romantic entertainment on Monday's & Tuesday!
Worth every penny. Great atmosphere and menu. Nice wait staff, great wine selection. Dinner was incredible - ravioli & salmon! Upscale in the midst of stripmalls.
The food at Nina's is delicious, enough so to outweigh the excitement of seeing Steven Seagal sitting at a neighboring table. Ok so it wasn't really him, but it was someone dressed in a suit and sporting an extremely long rat tail
Our waitress was nearly the only one on the floor and there was nearly a full house! She could've used some help. We waited 30 mins from menu to placing our order and then another 30 mins between finishing our dinners completely and waiting for a dessert menu. The tiramisu was worth it though!
Awesome meal. We have not been here in a while and wanted to come back and support them. They were busy and short staffed, but it was worth it. We will be back again soon.
We have now been back almost every Tuesday (1/2 bottles of wine) and Nina's has not disappointed yet. I would suggest to make sure you hear the specials and maybe eat outside your comfort zone and try something new. I have and it is always great.
Update: nothing has changed still a great time.
Called right when they opened for a 6:30 reservation and they had a spot for us. The food was amazing! 👏 they started us with complimentary bread/brushetta then our appetizer was stuffed mushrooms (fungi ripieni). I could have just eaten that all day. It was soo good. I ordered a penne con pollo and my dinner companion ordered chicken marsala. Then we finished with tiramisu cake and a chocolate cake. The chicken marsala is off menu and they also have chicken parm off menu too. I have no complaints and know we will be going again.
A couple of things to note:
The restaurant using dim lighting so you may need your phone light to see the menu
It doesn't say on the menu or anywhere else. If you don't have cash, there is a 4% surcharge. They circle it on the bill. I did have majority cash for the bill based on a review I saw about it but it wasn't enough and they still charged me 4%. They really should just hide the surcharge into the food cost and I would not complain.
We went early. Get reservations. Worked out great. Atmosphere was great. Waitress was great. Food was great. A little grizzle in my steak, but was cooked perfectly, and had good texture. The bruschetta was the best ever. Pineapple martini was perfect. We will go again!
Amber and I finally were able.to connect to celebrate my birthday last night. We were both going to be in Raleigh so I searched Google Maps for restaurants near our location. My favorite food is Italian so decided to give Nina's a whirl! To start we were trying to set up her phone to take a pic and the bartender, Chris, noticed and came outside to take it. Chris also ended up being our waiter and made us feel right at home. He was amazing! We recognized they are a little short staffed and service would take longer which gave us visiting/talking time. They have a herb garden where the chef (Roberto?) And Chris get fresh herbs for the drinks and dishes We ordered the Eggplant Rolletini and Gorganzolla Salad to share. The entrees were the Diver Scallops and Ravioli with Salmon. Chris brought the best Salted Carmel ice cream (Gelato?) with whipped cream and a candle for my bday. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will most certainly be back!
Great meal - like a true Italian meal! Fresh food, great staff, attentive but not too much. It's like your at home and can sit and chat and not get rushed out.
Always a very pleasant experience. Great atmosphere, great food, wine, knowledgeable staff. Maureen is exceptional.
Highly recommend! Food was amazing! Service was fabulous! We will definitely be going back.
I usually go to a restaurant a few times before putting forth a review. This was my third time at Nina’s and all three times the food has been exquisite and the service outstanding. Our server/waiter has been Anthony and he is as I previously stated outstanding. The great thing here they work as a team everyone on the staff is always checking things and making sure the patrons needs are being met. They have a very good wine list. So if you haven’t been to Nina’s I would advise you to go for some great food and top notch service.
We checked out this restaurant on Valentine’s Day and were impressed with the wide variety of selections and professional service. There were several menu items that didn’t contain the heavy sauces that often come with Italian food. Also, the tiramisu was the best we’ve ever had. We look forward to going back.
