Wow, this place has a fantastic way of blending different flavors that pretty much make your taste buds explode!! The NO BullSh*t salad is simple and crazy good. The catfish is to die for, my new favorite dish in downtown Raleigh. Sunny the chef is rockin' it, I highly recommend checking this place out, you will not regret it!! Keep up the great work y'all.

Small but comfortable place to eat, we some interesting ales & curious menu. But great tasting and enjoyable for sure. The Lamb & Clam bowl w/ eggplant tortellini is excellent and very unexpected. Great tasting oysters, which is obviously what this place is known for. But wonderful friendly service & comfortable seating, even for a person eating alone on business. A most enjoyable evening & recommend anyone take a shot and give it a taste.

We've visited St. Roch's tons of times and have always had a good time and a great meal when we're there. It's one of our favourite restaurants in Raleigh and we find ourselves coming back often whether it's a special occasion or just regular oyster cravings. Love the happy hour they have daily, the cocktails, and entrées. They also serve a fantastic brunch!

What a Carolina treat!! St. Roch is as good at it gets when we’re talking fresh Oysters & New Orleans inspired cuisine. The head chef and owner Sunny Gerhart hails from the Big Easy and you can feel that in every bite. We had Oysters from seven regions. Blue crab claw and Shrimp from North Carolina, all seasoned with love from New Orleans. Can’t say enough good things about the food. All of the Oysters were fresh and delicious, even the crackers from the Fixins seemed to be made in house. The flavors on the Blue Crab Claws blew me away. The Peel ‘n Eat NC Shrimp was packed full of Creole seasonings. The BBQ Shrimp in that Coconut Curry Broth w/ Fresh Bread had me licking the bowl like a savage for the last drops. Service was all amazing from top to bottom. Our Shucker Alex was very knowledgeable and on point with all of his recommendations. The bartender whipped up some amazing cocktails, a few off the menu. Our server was very attentive and also made us a drink or two. Absolutely love the interior design from the wallpaper to the art they’ve curated on the walls. We will be in Raleigh at least four times this year. St. Roch can expect us every single visit!!!

Absolutely everything was delicious from start to finish. The cocktails were inventive and fun, beautifully balanced and absolutely divine! The food was so fantastic. We had the blue crab claws in black garlic vinaigrette and chili oil (my favorite thing!!) the flame roasted oysters with Tasso bacon and with garlic butter (I couldn’t decide on a favorite both were incredible) the calabash fried fish platter (this had EVERYTHING you could want with your fried seafood!) the gumbo (all it needed was a splash of hot sauce.) and the peel & eat shrimp (sometimes you just want a classic and it was exactly what we were craving!) The service was superb, our server Jordan was so helpful and knew every item on the menu perfectly. He was also such a joy to speak with, an absolute gem! The atmosphere is beautiful and fun, we loved everything. Can’t wait to come back!

This is more of a 4.5 star review. The food is phenomenal, full stop. We had the boudin, some roasted oysters, frog legs, and gumbo & grits. Where it loses points is on one pretty big issue and one pretty small issue. The big - prices. This place is expensive. The frog legs cost $18, which I’d say was the item that most caught me off guard. Some menu items are priced highly and I understand why, but some items definitely could come down in cost. This was the brunch menu. The smaller issue - it’s dark inside, like, too dark. I get it for “bar” mode, but at 12:30pm on Sunday, let’s bring the house lights up a bit. I had to pump the exposure way up just to get decent pics of my food. Overall, absolutely delicious and a wonderful take on Cajun/Creole food, but it’s definitely a “once in a while treat” kind of place rather than a “regular favorite” with the prices.

This seafood bar is close to the natural science museum. It looks really cool inside, lots of marine vibe decor. I tried the potato latka special appetizer and it was really good!! I also ordered the Carolina Calabash with shrimp and it was a great variety of different items. It was delicious and very filling, more than enough for 2 people. The grits with cheese was amazing!! This is a great oyster bar!!

Shared a great meal with a business colleague. We had the fish dip & crawfish hush puppies to start. The dip was served with fried saltine crackers (don't judge until you've tried) and the hush puppies with a flavored butter. We devoured all of both. For main, I had a bowl of gumbo and my husband had the red beans and rice. Both of those were very delicious, although I will say that the gumbo wasn't like other gumbos I've had. It was delicious, but it tasted more like chili. Not a bad thing, just different. The star of the show, though, was the BBQ shrimp. The are served with the tail on in an amazing, heavenly, coconut broth, with lime and a little bit of heat from jalapeno. And unbelievably delicious bread to dip it in. The broth was so good that we actually got extra bread to keep on dipping. I will definitely return and definitely order the BBQ shrimp. Our server Julie was also very attentive and very knowledgeable and shared insight into the menu that was very helpful.

Their oyster is very good. But a little bit pricey. Drinks are creative and good taste. Cute place for date too. I do say the food on the menu doesn’t seems too appealing

A must for anyone visiting Raleigh AND for everyone living in close (enough) proximity. After an Oyster Shooter with tequila enhanced by St. Roch’s proprietary spicy embellishment, I enjoyed the Heirloom Tomato salad. With the addition of two kinds of ripe tomatoes the okra was cooked to perfection. It’s a seasonal dish so get it while you can! The main course was the market fish, and THAT was perfect. Service is attentive. Vibe is high. Ambience enhanced by dimmed lighting and eclectic art. Bon appetite!

I’ve been living there in Greensboro for 15 yrs now. I must say, what my mouth experienced this evening was liking anything I’ve ever had before! St. Roch is by far the BEST restaurant that I’ve eaten at since I’ve been living here! From the drinks, crawfish hush puppies, everything was GREAT!! The atmosphere was such a vibe!

Former NOLA resident here. Consistent dopamine fireworks. Had the grits from their brunch menu. Superb. Brunch ends at 4 and then shifts to dinner menu and pricing. Tuesdays and Wednesdays have specials. Definitely prioritize coming if in downtown Raleigh.
