I was born and raised in Korea so I can be picky about korean fusion cuisine but I really liked the food here. Really recommend the dumplings and korean fried chicken tacos. Everyone we talked with that worked there was really friendly too, will definitely be going back.
A Korean restaurant with locally sourced food. I had shrimp curry and NC seafood soup. As a native Korean, I was expecting authentic Korean food, but it was more fusion styled Korean/Asian food. It was delicious if you are not expecting an authentic Korean cuisine.
Delicious farm to table featuring Korean fares. The bibimbap was amazing, but the dumplings were a little underwhelming.
Kimbap has been our favorite place for the past year! We are absolutely addicted to their pork belly (we usually order the pork belly lettuce wraps or mixed rice bowl). Last time we went, my husband tried the braised short ribs and it was absolutely amazing...we've never been disappointed by one of their dishes before. I love knowing that they use fresh local ingredients. We never have to wait for a table, and the management & staff are always super friendly! love this place!! :)
Delicious food, great and friendly service, quiet and intimate atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Really good Korean-inspired food. Not so much Korean comfort food that you're mother or grandmother would cook, but more a chef's take on traditional Korean dishes. The place is small, but seating on a Friday night was very comfortable and not packed and the design inside is fairly modern. Super friendly waitstaff that will explain anything on the menu.
Best Korean food in NC. My husband and I have been going to Kimbap since they opened and we never leave without a smile. The food and service are fabulous. The dumplings are mind blowing. So fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back when we are home visiting family!! Please open a Kimbap in Asheville!
This restaurant is what makes Raleigh so good: Independently owned with so much soul and passion for their craft. The location is small and simple and serves outstanding food. I eat at Kimbap at least 3 times a month and have never had a bad experience. My personal favorites are the Dukboki (crispy rice cakes), Beef and Herb Salad, and their Bibimbap mixed rice bowl. If you have not tried you must put it on your list!
