Really amazing fine dining experience! Great food and even more wonderful service! We visited for our Anniversary Dinner, and was glad we chose this place... For starters, tried the outstanding Pan seared Scallops, Crispy Calamari over Risotto washed down with Old Fashioned Cocktail and Moscato... For mains tried the Pan fried Grouper with Crab meat over New Orleans butter sauce, Veal Piccata with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and finally Bread Butter Pudding with Whiskey sauce to end which was complimentary since it was a special occasion! Amazing experience, would love going back just for the Scallops alone!

Service was quite possibly the best I have EVER experienced. The menu choices were top notch, and EVERYTHING we were served was delicious. Crab Cake Starter, Wedge Salad, Beef Tenderloin, Creamed Spinach, and Fried Oysters. Food was superb. Bananas Foster was excellent and the server really owned her flambe! Visiting Raleigh, possibly moving to the area. Either way, I will definitely be back. Put this spot on your Maps!

First time we went. This place was amazing. Best steak I'd ever had. Second time we went, it fairness, it was very busy because of the holiday. But I ordered a steak medium, it was rare. Not even close. I sent it back and then they basically served me a hamburger. Not great. The service made up for it. They took the steak off (I didn't eat it) and gave our table a round of desserts, including their famous Bananas Foster. We will be back, I think it was just an off night. My wife did have their Grouper, which was recommended, and she said it was just OK. We also had to send back the Lobster Mac and Cheese because it smelled and tasted so fishy. They were very accommodating, and this was the opposite of out first experience. Excited to update this after our third try.

From the door, to the table, back to the door.... Great service! Staff was incredible, food was both out in a timely manner and delicious! Nothing on our plates was not anything less than fantastic. Will definitely return!!!

We tried Rey's after I heard so much about it. I have mixed feelings about our experience. The restaurant was decorated for the holiday and was beautiful. We had enough space at our table for three. Our waiter Cameron was attentive, not overly hovering. About the food (the whole reason we were jere). The pork chop was enormous. The beef tornadoes were about the same size as the fried oysters, which was disappointing. The steak was cooked the way I had asked - hot pink center. The sides were plentiful and tasty. Here are my complaints. When the Bananas Forester were prepared for the table on either side, the flames were awfully close to us - one of us felt the heat on the back of their head. Here's my biggest complaint: when our leftovers were brought to us, the wait person put the bag on the floor. Dude, don't put my food on the floor, when there was space on the table or on a chair. I think I'll go back but this time I would go with a ribeye instead of the beef tornadoes.

Another year and another birthday celebration with dear friends and this time at Rey’s Restaurant. This fine dining eatery with New Orleans flare did not disappoint. The valet parking and doorman greeting with a megawatt smile as he welcomed us into the restaurant and wishing us a great dining experience were signs we were in for quite a treat. And treat it was because this dining experience is a play in three acts. The first act was the cocktails and wine. Once inside, we were quickly seated in the spacious main dining room flanked by smaller New Orleans themed party rooms. The first of two servers came to our table to take drink orders. Whether you’re dining alone or with others, always order a bottle of wine. Tonight’s wine selection was a magnificent 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon with a gorgeous bouquet of Fall florals that paired exquisitely with our steaks. And yes, the second act was the steaks. When you come to Rey’s, order the steak. I got the 10 oz filet cooked to a perfect medium that simply melted in my mouth. The husband got the prime New York strip also cooked medium with a slight char on the outside. The sides are a la carte and each large enough for family share with the table. Each of us getting a different side allowed all of us to create our own unique plates of decadent steak with delicious sides. And finally the third act - dessert. We opted for the Crème Brûlée and Bananas Foster for the table. The Crème Brûlée opened with the tart berries but closed with the sweet delicate texture of custard. The Bananas Foster is not only a dessert at Rey’s but a table side showing of mastery and flare. As we dined we noticed flames popping up at various tables of diners watching the show of the Bananas Foster. When it came time for ours, our server gave quite a dramatic showing. Once plated, the Bananas Foster was rich and decadent with hints of vanilla and brown sugar mixed with a delicious buttery sauce over vanilla ice cream. Epilogue, Rey’s is exquisite from the people to the drinks to the food, the entire restaurant saw to our needs and made the experience very memorable. Whether you are treating yourself or celebrating with others, Rey’s is the Gold Standard in the Triangle for fine dining.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rey’s restaurant for my dad's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owner, Rey. He made us feel right at home and even took the time to chat with us. In regards to the meat, it was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, it was some of the best steak I've ever had. We also tried some of the sides, like the garlic mashed potatoes and the mushrooms, which were equally impressive. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy, intimate vibe that's perfect for special occasions. The service was top-notch, with our server, Matt, being attentive to our food and was extremely friendly. Overall, I highly recommend Rey’s restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and charming atmosphere make it a standout among other steakhouse options.

This was nice. Lovely service, very friendly and took us as a walk in. This is the hilariously shaped butter, summer salad, chicken piccata, Lyonnaise potatoes, Scottish salmon, and table side Bananas Foster.

Great tasting food. The staff was friendly and even let me know of options that weren't on the menu. Complimentary valet as well. Valet even had my car ready when I walked out the door without me telling them I was ready to leave. The restaurant had a nice ambiance as well. I was even asked how everything was by the owner, which made things that much better. A great place to eat for my birthday. I'll be sure to visit again.
