Great choices for Thai food and some Vietnamese dishes too! super fast and friendly service!
Definitely will be back.
Fast and friendly service, great eats and prices are spot on! Great little bit of ambiance, loved the lighting and music, cannot beat the locale. Would definitely recommend, would return here!
We, my husband and I, stopped by but they were closing/closed. The gentleman there opened the kitchen and cooked us a delicious drunken noodle with pork. He could have told us to come back the following day but he didn't. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I will definitely return when they are actually open.
Delicious. One of our best meals in Portland. Usually you get frozen veggies at these types of restaurants, but Veranda Noodle house used fresh veggies and it was absolutely delicious. I had the veggie basil stir fry and my husband chicken fried rice. In the top 2 of our favorite meals in 5 days. A must in Portland.
you have to be a good restaurant to stay in business on commercial street in Portland, ME. the flavours are incredibly powerful (in a good way) and the portion sizes are very large. you can probably share an entree of pad thai with three people and you would all probably be full at the end, but of course you want to order more than just pad thai because the Veranda Noodle House has a lot to offer. the green curry was very good and even at a level 3 of spice, I wasn't in that much pain (maybe a little bit of pain). what do I recommend? the drunken noodles. veranda noodle house gets 5 stars because of the fast and polite service, the atmosphere, the flavour of the food, and the variety of the menu. everything comes out piping hot so be careful!
Helpful & friendly service!
Went on a Sunday around noon, not busy. Lots of seating and good for groups.
Interior Decor & music are consistent with their Vietnamese & Thai food business.
Appetizers came out shortly after ordering
Little crunchy egg rolls were delicious!
The egg drop soup could use more flavor. I ended up adding more salt.
Order:
Pad Thai - Lunch Special (comes with soup & the appetizer of the day)
I enjoyed the fried tofu, the pad thai was more on the sweeter side. The portions were HUGE. I took home the rest but it looked like I didn't even touch it! I wish I had shared it.
Chicken Satay with peanut sauce - BIGGEST chicken satay I've ever had! I liked the coconut milk addition to the peanut sauce
I appreciated the table clean-up as we finished our dishes.
At the end of your meal you get sliced oranges!
