the breakfast was excellent and the service was outstanding. I would recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone
Sunday July 28th mid day 1:30 pm our 1st time in the dinner heard a lot good things about the place so it was our trip of the day from North Waterboro Maine .The host as we entered the dinner was very quick & friendly , happy to greet us. I mentioned this was our 1st time here. The host recommended the upper older part of the train dinner also gave us some interesting information on the place . The food was very great all fresh tasting for an omelet the spinach & cheese with fresh mushrooms, also the bread great quality not burnt just right as well as the grilled potatoes were spot on for taste. Not mushy or under cooked.I have to say great job to all the staff, great job to the cooks. As Gordon Ramey would say “Great Ending To The Day “. Thank you we will be back for a lunch visit soon.
On a traveling assignment for work and I've been looking for a place to eat breakfast 🤔. Of course, Google came to my rescue when I saw a picture of this diner...I just knew the food was going to be great. Of course, I was right and I can't wait to go back to try the lunch menu because I eyed the roasted sweet potato wedges which sounds amazing 😋. On another note, the breakfast was so good and fulfilling... not to mention the great service that was received from the staff!! 🥰🥰🥰
Come for simple food made very well. Good service. No wait when Marcy's or Bayside had 40min+ waits.
The Good:
Amazingly good food. They are very okay with adjusting and modifying meals, especially for dietary restrictions. Less busy than other popular Portland brunch places. Service was nice and prompt.
The meh:
None.
The Bad:
None.
If you looking for a perfect American Dinner experience then Miss Portland is the place. Its my second time and I have become a permanent food lover of Portland breakfast abd blueberry pancakes.
This is a neat little diner in Portland. It’s in an old dining car, one of the last of its kind I think I read. There was a parking lot right near the diner which was convenient. Staff was nice. Food was reasonably priced. I got steak & eggs and a coffee. The steak was a tres major. It was a nice breakfast. I’d eat here again.
miss portland fills a much-appreciated niche in the city’s food scene by providing diner staples at an above-average quality. keep in mind that the higher prices (compared to becky’s) are very much worth it.
the short rib benedict was incredible. never had steak and eggs before but i might now be a believer. also a special, surprising shout out to the home fries — not that crispy yet this texture almost melted in my mouth. plus some humorous, non-offensive bathroom stall graffiti always brightens a cold winter morning.
keep on chuggin, our beloved box car!
The décor is charming. the staff was wonderful our waitress gave great service and the food was good i had the stake and eggs and my friend had the Corn beef and hash both were good the breakfast potato are amazing and the stake was good but i tried my friends corn beef and hash and i would Definitely get that next time
The staff was very friendly. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The menu has plenty of options for most people. I would go again if I were in the area.
