Back when this location was still open, it was my favorite Starbucks in downtown! I went here all the time before PSU classes and loved grabbing a coffee and sitting in the nearby park. Everyone working there was super friendly and easy to strike up a conversation with while waiting for your products. I'm hoping it'll once again open before I move 😭❤️
Awesome atmosphere with all the tourists speaking their native languages. Great service!
This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations. It's right on Portland State University's campus, and though it tends to be busy, the baristas are always friendly and welcoming, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure your day is going well.
The customer service is great!
Great customer service. Clean area to sit in & have a coffee.
This starbucks fails every test there could be for bad coffee shops. They are more worried about ten cents and being right then making a customer happy and even willing to pay extra just to make sure it's done right and its the easiest for k you can make. They let animals that are most defenitly not service animals everyday so the homeless can come in with an empty cup and either get a free refill and will sit there for 9am to closing g so they don't have to be out in the weather and can spend the money they do have on drugs and alchohal of which I have been watching and video taping and writing for about 7 years so I know exactly which places are average and which ones are a little above average and rarely one like the Starbucks on upper SE Division that blows the whole chain out of the water. If every Starbucks was like this one, Starbucks would be making five times what they bring in both net and gross.
This is a great location for locals and visitors: people on the Portland State University campus, those living at The Vue Apartments complex, and those attending park blocks events, such as the Saturday Farmer's Market. It can get pretty busy during the daytime when school is in session. I feel comfortable having a coffee here and getting a quick study session in (albeit, with upbeat modern music and latte mixers going off in the background!). A smaller location than average and an essential one. I consider the homeless my neighbor and there is some homelessness in this neighborhood. Starbucks baristas treats its customers the same.
Huge fan of the staff! They make this Starbucks stand out. I was just thinking how if I lived anywhere else I would actually have to rethink if loosing this Starbucks would be worth it.
