Have you ever eaten food that your body has thanked you for? This is that kind of food. It is soul food in the literal sense. the restaurant is beautifully decorated and cozy. The owner of the restaurant meets you at the door as you walk in thanks you for coming in and escort you to your table. You are seated, and asked "could I make you some bread? The manners of the employees, the cleanliness of the restaurant are impeccable. Kumar, is a perfect gentleman and makes you feel at home. It is like being invited into someone's house for a meal. Now, on to the food.
I should probably say that I have traveled all over the US, and that this is the finest, most legit Indian food I have ever had in my life. It is savory, it literally has the spirit of India incorporated within the food. And like I said, it is like soul food. Your body is completely engaged and consuming it. And when you leave you leave with a sense of wellness you don't get from eating elsewhere.
There are a couple of others that make Indian food in the valley, but I think I have found my home for Indian food care here. I will be coming back as often as I possibly can. It's more than food, it is love hospitality and comfort.

I had the pleasure of having a lamb curry wrap during my vacation to Portland from the Taste of India food truck on 5th and Alder. IT WAS THE BEST INDIAN CUISINE I'VE EVER HAD. Everything was freshly made in front of me. The curry was delicious and varied perfectly in spice. The lamb was so tender and cooked to perfection. All wrapped up in a Nan wrap, making a HUGE portioned meal. Had to share to finish. Really rad experience in the city and my favorite part of my trip. 5/5, 10/10, 100% A+
Their portions are huge and food is cooked fresh. No where else even compares in Portland. Most other places would charge $15 with much smaller portions and half the flavor.
I'm back and the quality and service is superb. I just love this place. Great food, great services great atmosphere and for weekends you get a free cup of champagne with your brunch. Highly highly recommened it.
Best indian food in the entire city is at this food cart. Nothing beats it. The prices are low and nan is cheap too! If you haven't been here, you need to go now!
Food is pretty good and the portions are generous. One of the best veggie samosas I've had!
I had the $6 vegetable lunch special, and it was great. The cauliflower dish was my favorite. Comes with naan
Food is delicious, proportions are HUGE and Harvey and his family are so sweet! Great lunch spot everyone should try!
Best Indian food cart in the city. I’ve been coming to this place for years and it truly doesn’t disappoint
I only ever order the samosas, but they are delicious and cheap.
